How much is too much to keep terrorists from suitcase nuking 4 or 5 US cities?,, Do you not think when they get them they won't use them?,, How much money or lives did WW2 cost in todays numbers?,, after all Japan and Germany didn't want every man, woman and child dead in this country like these terrorists want,, and yes the terrorists have declared war on us and since Carter no President except Bush has done a damn thing about it,, 87 billion or a trillion who cares,, the very survial of our country is at stake,, Bush probably should have allowed a hit a year here so dumbasses with their short memories on exactly what the objectives of these antichrists are,, (it's to obliterate us off the face of the earth) don't forget,,

want every man, woman and child dead in this country like these terrorists want

That is a separate issue, which is - was there any connection at all between Sept 11 and Iraq. Most analysts say no. If there was, then the whole story we have been told - about Afghanistan and the Taliban - is off.

Allegra, the left is never going to quit harping. it's always going to be something....until the Lord Jesus returns. So pray for Him to do that soon.

After the first 100 or so words - my first thoughts was - the Clintons must be grinding their teeth to the point of breaking.

GO W.!!!!! Great job so far...

Reply 26 - Posted by: Allegra, 9/7/2003 8:52:47 PM

He made it pretty clear that 9/11 happened because Clinton had allowed the terrorists to think we'd fold.

Reply 28 - Posted by: amereagle, 9/7/2003 8:53:20 PM

The Dims and their controlled-major-media are going to spin the $89billion for Iraq and Afganistan aid into a massive anti-Bush campaign.

The Dims and their controlled-major-media would prefer that we lose the war and they have power over whatever's left than have America win the War on Terrorism while a Republican is in office.

$89billion is less than 1% of our economy.

Another hit like 9-11 might wipe our economy out altogether.

Dims are dumb; and seditious.

I thought Iraq would reimburse us with their oil sales? What happened to that? The President should have addressed that.

Reply 50 - Posted by: The RINO, 9/7/2003 9:03:02 PM

This is President Bush's night. Again he rose to the challenge!!!

Reply 63 - Posted by: Urgent Fury, 9/7/2003 9:13:01 PM

Nahh we need to annex Iraq so I can get gas for 90 cents again.

Reply 68 - Posted by: ivehadit, 9/7/2003 9:16:12 PM

George continues to BE our leader. He is leading us in the correct direction. He has more information from which to operate and I trust him.

"THEY ARE MISTAKEN".

'Nuf said, in my book.

WE ARE WITH YOU, MR. PRESIDENT. WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED.
THANK YOU for all you do to keep us free and prosperous.

I watched on PBS with Jim Lehrer (sp). He didn't have many comments before or after, thank goodness. I was able to watch the speech and it was right on, fantastic. He laid it out perfectly and only an idiot would have trouble getting the big picture.

Reply 82 - Posted by: amereagle, 9/7/2003 9:25:39 PM

We can't find Osama because "he's dead, Jim," and it's very hard to move millions of tons of rock to find the splatter of one dead savage.

Reply 96 - Posted by: Harmony1, 9/7/2003 9:34:01 PM

Thank the Lord that President Bush is standing his ground......and putting the world on notice that we will Not give up until Iraq is a stable and secure country with a 'civilized' government.
To leave now would ensure the Terrorists their Victory. To leave now would leave Iraq vulnerable to whatever group of *thugs and murderers* who could end up on 'top of the pile'.

Anyone who thinks differently is inviting a future of 3rd World Domination for their grandchildren. We cannot allow that to happen.

Reply 97 - Posted by: wolfgang von skeptik, 9/7/2003 9:35:03 PM

Excellent speech by President Bush -- quite possibly his best yet -- but CNN is ignoring the speech's content to claim the situation in Iraq vividly demonstrates Mr. Bush's "incompetence."

I can't wait for November of 2004, when I will proudly cast my vote for the reelection of George W Bush!!!!!!!!!!

14. Not worth checking out...
Posters on the board of Lucianne Goldberg, a neoconservative figure whose son writes at Buckley's National Review. These posters are more RNC shills than are the Free Republic posters, who represent more genuine organic rightism. "L-dotters" are more interested in (R) versus (D) and offer little insightful analysis.

13. OMFG!
Nutcase#1. "Do you honestly believe that there are 20,000 liters each of several WMDs along with 30,000 warheads to deliver them that they somehow have overlooked?"

Nutcase#2: "It's possible they overlooked 20 fighter jets buried in the desert."

These retards actually think those aircraft were airworthy??? Not to mention, we all knew Iraq had an Air Force.... kinda ridiculous to enforce No-Fly Zones of they didn't have planes to fly...I am truly dumbfounded as to how these simpletons are able to feed themselves without stabbing their eyes out with their forks.
