the brainwashers have a new building

http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_2490.shtml

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Except for the woodland-camouflage dress code and a discreet lack of windows, the new building - with its state-of-the-art digital television and radio production rooms, studios and printing presses - could easily belong to a sophisticated marketing firm.

In a way it does. But the "firm" is the U.S. Army's 4th Psychological Operations Group, and its "products" are whatever messages the Defense Department wants to sell.

-snip-

The psychological-operations campaign in Iraq reportedly cost tens of millions of dollars and has been called the biggest in history. It centered on Arabic-language leaflets and radio and television scripts designed by the 4th POG to encourage mass surrenders and erode support for Saddam Hussein.

Psyops troops are still in Iraq, but their efforts have shifted to calming and winning over civilians.

-snip-

Psyops has been busy lately, and not just in Iraq and Afghanistan: The staff of the media complex is supporting nearly 900 psyops troops spread across 13 countries, Treadwell said.

We need to have some classes on "How Not To Be Brainwashed" and "How To Recognize Brainwashing When You See It"

1. 2 if you include Fox News headquarters
3 if you include CNN ( remember the Project Censored story about this? It is no longer available at PC's site or I would post it here.)

2. Saddam Hussein is not the problem.
Nor are his sons.

Even if Saddam is caught, tried, convicted and incarcerated or executed, it will not stop the violence against American troops in Iraq.

It's our soldiers who are the brainwashed and the "liberal" media and the White House are trying to brainwash the rest of the nation!

4. Don't forget the CIA's project Mockingbird.
In the 1950s, outlays for global propaganda climbed to a full third of the CIA's covert operations budget. Some 3, 000 salaried and contract CIA employees were eventually engaged in propaganda efforts. The cost of disinforming the world cost American taxpayers an estimated $265 million a year by 1978, a budget larger than the combined expenditures of Reuters, UPI and the AP news syndicates.

In 1977, the Copely News Service admitted that it worked closely with the intelligence services - in fact, 23 employees were full-time employees of the Agency.

Most consumers of the corporate media were - and are - unaware of the effect that the salting of public opinion has on their own beliefs. A network anchorman in time of national crisis is an instrument of psychological warfare in the MOCKINGBIRD media. He is a creature from the national security sector's chamber of horrors. For this reason consumers of the corporate press have reason to examine their basic beliefs about government and life in the parallel universe of these United States.
