2. done - with comment on online polls and results so far
Online polls always seem to come out around 60% sane; 40% nuts.

For months I watched all the online polls with an eye to the Bush/Kerry numbers. And they were pretty consistently Bush 40% / Kerry 60%. Oddly enough, other polls, not about the election or candidates, but about the issues, also came in about 60% sane and 40% nuts. I saw this in everything from "how is the war going" to "should gays be allowed to marry" to "was Janet Jackson's boob a transgression against decency".

3. Yes at 56%
Those people who vote no better hope they never need disaster aid. I would hate for them to be hypocrites by accepting help.

4. 56% = "compassionate conservatism" at it's best!.......
I guess some of us are much too comfortable to concern ourselves with "real life"!

8. Done, and the reason they are heartless
is because it has no impact on them and its not being marketted to them. Attacking Iraq was marketted. There was an agenda. A sudden disaster in a distant land without oil or power has no impact on those that make policy. Therefor they see no reason to force it before the eyes of the public.
