The Beatles on Bushco economics.
I was listening to Abbey Road and I was amazed at how the song "give me your money" (part of the Golden Slumber medley) applies to the economic policies of Bushco.
I won't do a line by line analysis, you can have fun yourself;

You never give me your money
You only give me your funny paper
And in the middle of negotiations you break down

I never give you my number
I only give you my situation
And in the middle of investigation I break down

Out of college, money spent
See no future, pay no rent
All the money’s gone, nowhere to go

Any jobber got the sack
Monday morning, turning back
Yellow lorry slow, nowhere to go

But oh, that magic feeling, nowhere to go
Oh, that magic feeling, nowhere to go, nowhere to go...

One sweet dream
Pick up the bags and get in the limousine
Soon we’ll be away from here
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away
One sweet dream came true today
Came true today, came true today (yes it did)

One two three four five six seven
All good children go to heaven...

I can only add that we will "carry that weight for a long time!"

1. Try listening to old Jefferson Airplane songs
from the late 60s. We're almost there. When the draft returns, I predict hip-hop mixes of old Airplane songs will be all over the radio:

When the truth is found to be lies,
when all that's in you dies,
don't you want somebody to love,
don't you need somebody to love...

also:

You are the crown of creation, and you've got nowhere to go.
Soon you'll find the stability that you strive for,
in the only way it's granted,
in a place among the fossils of our time.

2. Then there's the Stones' "Gimme Shelter"
If I don't get some shelter
going to fade away
gimme gimme shelter...

4. "The weight is your friend."
I've been carrying that weight a long time...so long I've grown fond of it.

They may have won.
