Yale has been the traditional breeding ground of future CIA agents
from the ranks of the WASP aristocracy that flock to that campus. One can think of the Skull & Bones fraternity, with its codes of silence, and mysterious rituals as the CIA's own initiation rites. Would that have given rise to the Parallel Government that has pretty much run the country since the Kennedy Assassination? Remember that Bush Sr. went to Yale and was the CIA Director.

1. Do ya'll realize

that Skull and Bones was represented not only by both the Republican and Democratic candidate in the soooooper-dooobious "election" of 2004, but also Governor Bob Taft of strangely must-win Ohio (like Jeb Bush of Florida/2000 fame) is descendant of many a Bonesman including founding member Alfonso Taft.

Prescott Bush, the first of three consecutive Bush bonesmen, was also born in Columbus, Ohio, btw.

<snip>
William Howard Taft, 27th. President of the United States (R) Confirmed Mason. Was a member of the Order of Skull and Bones. In fact, the Taft family which dates back to Braintree Mass. in 1679, helped start the Skull & Bones Order and at least eight Taft's have been in the Order. Coleman DuPont, went in business with President Taft’s brother Charles P. Taft (member of the Skull & Bones) in 1910 to build McAlpin Hotel in New York City. (Taft’s other brother Horace Taft, was a member of the Order of Skull and Bones.

W. Averell Harriman (init. into Skull & Bones in 1913), the man who helped finance Hitler to power. The Skull and Bones also incorporates sexual activities into their practices. "The death of the initiate will be as frightful as the use of human skeletons and ritual psychology can make it..." (Esquire Magazine, "The Last Secrets of Skull and Bones", Ron Rosenbaum, p. 89). Sexual perversion is part of ritual psychology. Ron Rosenbaum, author of the Esquire Magazine article, stated that on initiation night, called tap night, "...if one could climb to the tower of Weir Hall, the odd castle that overlooks the Bones courtyard, one could hear strange cries and moans coming from the bowels of the tomb as the 15 newly tapped members were put through what sounded like a harrowing ordeal..." (Esquire, September, 1976, p. 86). Further, "lay naked in coffins and tell their deepest and darkest sexual secrets as part of their initiation." (Esquire, p. 85).

These experiences in the coffins incorporated sexual pain and resulted in being born-again, into the Order, as we mentioned above. (Cooper, p.95) Powerful force charges through the participants of these ceremonies, transforming their lives dramatically. This type ritual is classic Satanism. Anton LaVey states, in his book (The Satanic Rituals: Companion To The Satanic Bible, (p. 57) "The ceremony of rebirth takes place in a large coffin.. This is similar to the coffin symbolism that...is found in most lodge rituals."

Make no mistake about it: Any organization which utilizes this coffin ritual to simulate rebirth is practicing Satanism, including Skull and Bones. The Skull and Bones believes that on the night of initiation, the initiate "dies to the world and be born again into the Order..." (Esquire Magazine, September, 1977, p. 89). Remember Hitler's belief that he had been born anew after his ritualistic initiation and training? This term is a common one in occultism.

During the 1988 Presidential Campaign, a TV reporter asked Vice-President Bush if he were a Christian. Bush initially stammered, but then said, "if you mean born again, then, yes, I am a Christian". Now we know what George Bush meant by his deliberately misleading statement.

2. Would this country be better off without a Skull & Bones?
If this were an organization that was run by black men, would this country tolerate it? S&B's name keeps popping up when something really wrong happens to this country. I'm inclined to believe that it has become a national security problem.

4. While it is generally better
to study systems than individuals, you mention a name that is important as far as understanding how our country is actually run. On the first of the Plame threads, I had mentioned that most of the politicians we see generally front for the real powers-that-be, which I recognize most DUers realize. It is, of course, the same as in every small town and large city in America: the real power is not held by politicians, but by "the boys." They do not tend to be found in the spotlight. But on rare occassion, one of the gentlemen that actually holds the reins of power comes forward, and the best example of this was W. Averell Harriman. As odd as this may sound, it is not possible to understand the changes this country went through, from FRD to Ike to LBJ, without understanding Harriman. And this includes understanding the Kennedy administration's 1000 days.

In this era, the closest thing to a Harriman is James Baker.

6. Most universities have CIA recruiters
Briefly:
I was recruited through U of Rochester NY.
Historically it was a Naval College with a strong naval intelligence program.
With such a strong CIA presence on campus it was a natural choice for the son of the Premier of China to attend school there.

Librarians told me it was not uncommon for a million dollars in cash to change hands at the library.

PS I refused to serve them 3 times and suffered significant retribution by the company's minions.
