1. Mental Health screenings for school children:
I won't be surprised if the screening is subcontracted to insurance companies through some uncompetitve no-bid procedure. And then I bet that the doctors all prescribe whatever drug is still in its period of patent protection.

Bottom line: your local property tax dollar will go to some private company to pay for the screenings, and then you'll have to buy drugs for your kid through whatever minimal insurance policy you have (if you have one at all).

6. War, for that matter, is a transfer of tax money to military companies.
How many bombs did we need to bomb the Taliban into submission?

Welll, we used an awful lot regardless of how many we needed to use.

5. Without an estate tax, the only way churches will get money is if the...'
...gov't gives them your tax dollar through a fath based initiative. Nobody will donate to churches in order to reduce the size of their estates.

7. Privatization of SS:
Just a way to flood equity markets with money that wouldn't be in the market otherwise, driving prices up in a way that doesn't match valuations if they actually had to compete for investment dollars. Insiders will use the forced investments to cash out at the inflated values.

When the whole system collapses because the economy doesn't work properly (because corproate America was all about ripping off the markets than about companies making things that people wanted to buy, and because so much wealth is taken out of middle and working class and ended up inflating a bubble) the people with valueless retirement funds will be left holding the bag.

9. Good one!
Or should I say another not good one?

How about the prescription drug legislation? That's nothing but a donor payback.

13. Right. Bankruptcy laws save banks the trouble of having to do due...
...dilligence on their customers.

We insure the banks' risk so they don't have to work hard to make money.

14. Medical Marijuana: if aspirin or valium grew on trees, Republicans...
...would outlaw them.

The only reason Republicans oppose Med. MJ is because there's no money in it for drug companies (and it takes marketshare from their patented drugs). It doesn't need an advertising campaign and packaging to sell it and it isn't made in a factory. Therefore drug companies can't make any money off it.

...called "Take the Rich Off Welfare."

It takes the Dems to task, too, but the Repukes are by far the bigger culprits.
