1. If you had included a - minus sign, I would have
clicked on that. We're going backwards. We're in the RED.

4. Where are we going?
And what are we doing in this handbasket? My guess is that we are well and truly hosed and that some really bad things will happen before 2008. The only good that might come out of this is the possibility that whatever debacles and disasters occur might cause at least some people to pull their heads out of their asses.

6. I dont think its going to be as bad as last time
Bush is going for legacy just like all second term presidents.

That means hes going to push the right wing ideology on domestic policy a lot but hes not going to take big risks when it comes to foreign policy. Hes already got a legacy there and he doesnt want to risk doing something that will really have him down as the very worst president ever no doubt (something like invading iran)

So i am expecting some undesirable domestic policy things but no new war or anything.

I dont think he will be able to pass that much right wing crap though. The republicans are going to lose seats in the house in 2006. I have no doubt about that. The incumbents party always loses seats in midterm elections. The only reason the republican didnt in 2002 was because of 9/11. So i think for his last two years he'll have a hard time pushing through so much crap.

> That means hes going to push the right wing ideology on domestic policy

Since that involves implementing the Dominion's religious dictates as
law, that IS a pretty big deal, actually.:scared:

> a lot but hes not going to take big risks when it comes to foreign policy.

except in Iran, Syria, Venezuela, North Korea.....

I am sure there are no invasion plans on his desk. They left his
desk months ago with his signature.:grr:

> So i am expecting some undesirable domestic policy things

Abortions banned, gays locked up for sodomy (if they don't just
go for stoning like they really want to), Social Security trashed,
Food stamps no more, Schools and public assistance programs become
"faith-based" programs run by the Dominion directly. And we won't
be bitching about it on DU anymore -- that won't be allowed.:X(

> but no new war or anything.

4 more wars :-(

> I dont think he will be able to pass that much right wing crap though.

They can do it ALL. They have the votes. They will do away with our
right to filibuster their judicial nominees. The new Supreme Court,
with Chief Justice John Scalia presiding, and Associate Justices John
Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzales providing a Dominion majority, will do
most of the dirty work.

They also have the votes to pass by legislation what they can't do
by judicial fiat. We may filibuster a few of the worst bills (if
they don't take that away too), but we won't be able to do anything
to stop them from implementing their entire program.

They'll commission a return engagment then. This time with :nuke::nuke:

I would not be so quick to assume Boooosh will leave office in 2008.
If the trend for the past few election continues (escalating theft),
then by 2007 Boosh will be able to get the Constitution amended to
make him pResident for Life.

15. Didn't you know? Bush will deliver us from evil
He has values. He values our freedom, our privacy, our money, and our independence so much that he plans to take them away and safeguard them.
Don't worry though, he is protecting us from the man in the cave.
