Blogactive.com site down within past 3 hours... possible hacking?

I tried to access this site and I get an error message that says

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)


For those who aren't familiar with this site, and why I'm posting this in latest breaking news, the guy who runs this site outs top brass in the Republican establishment. Heard of Ed Shrock? Mike Rogers was responsible for ending the "distinguished" (by hypocrisy, anyway) career of one of the most anti-gay old bastard closet cases on the Hill. He also exposed the fact that Ken Mehlman, who may be the next RNC Chair is gay. Not the kind of thing that Karl Rove wants the KKKhristian Right to know about.

In addition, the message that came up is not the typical message that one would get. Normally if a site was down, you'd see something like "Cannot find server". You would not get that atypical message about "Bad Request/Invalid Hostname".


I wanted to break this story so that anyone who is familiar with the techniques of hackers and can look for telltale signs and find out if it's actually a hacking or just a regular system malfunction will please step forward.
