I'm listening to Randi Rhodes on Air America, and she says that an Indiana Congressman has petitioned the US Highway Dept. to change the number of US Interstate 69 to a more appropriate number.

Is this a joke? She is convincing me that it's true.

If it is, could someone at DU please provide me with a link. She says it is from the Hoosier Gazette.

to insure that when the upcoming re-routing of 69 to continue from Indianapolis to Evansville occurs, that it not go through French Lick, Larry Bird's home town.

remove all "Slippery When Wet" and "Enter Here" signs
and oh yeah...change the name of "Ball State" to something more appropriate like "Abstinence College."
