15. Ruppert is an author, an ex-police officer and hates the BFEE
BFEE is Bush Family Evil Empire.

Ruppert quit the LAPD because he saw that they were helping Dope Inc -- the CIA -- bring in coke. He later discovered they helped cover up RFK's murder.

22. Thumbnail: Operation Vigilant Warrior covered for 9/11 cuz of Peak Oil.
The morning of 9/11, there was a CIA/NORAD exercise 'simulating' multiple hijacked planes crashing into buildings run by Cheney from the White House as the 'real' thing was happening!!!!!!!

http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/cia-simulation.htm
http://www.oilempire.us/wargames.html

So our air cover was out of the northeast air corridor and the FAA had confusing test blips on their screens.

This helped make the country defenseless against whoever REALLY crashed those planes.

Why? Because a new 'Pearl Harbor' event was needed to justify stealing what's left of the oil in the world and create a police state in the unchallenged USA while it takes over the world.

This "coincidence" was even reported by the AP on 8/22/02.
Richard Clarke barely mentioned it in his book 'Against All Enemies' but he did and some think he was exposing a dot for others to connect.

32. Didn't know that, but now it makes sense
I was on the phone with a friend all day on 9/11, and we both kept yelling at the TV "where the hell are the F-15s"! My friend grew up as an Air Force brat, and he knew that procedure wasn't being followed. Some friends of his at the Cleveland airport said that jets DID scramble that day, but they don't know what happened to them.

There is NOTHING that this ruthless group of thugs won't do to retain power!

31. THIS PART
MR: The election was stolen. So what? That’s all the time it gets from me. There are a jillion stories on it circulating around the Internet right now. I won’t recap them here. I stopped believing in elections in 2000. The techniques for stealing elections did not originate in Saudi Arabia. The American electoral process is dead; and irretrievably so. When you have John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Donna Brazile and the DNC saying that the election was fair and balanced then it is sheer foolishness to believe that any challenge is worth the effort. The courts are rigged. Rehnquist is going out and Bush gets to pick maybe three more Supremes. That’s where an election challenge would go. So what’s the point?

Insanity is repeating the same actions over and over, expecting different results. People who want to know my feelings about the election should go to FromTheWilderness.com and read my editorial “Snap Out of It!”

Newtopia: You say how we use our money can do more to change things than our votes can, especially now that Diebold and the other Republican information technology companies control vote counting. You advise Americans to become debt free. To create self sufficient local communities, both as a way of transforming the prevailing oligarchy, and as our best chance for surviving the economic disaster of oil depletion. You expect an economic crash next year. What is the recourse of the American People now? Is it time for liberal thinkers to abandon ship and head elsewhere? Will America become China's world police in a permanently divided society of the very poor and the very rich?

MR: You have the wrong perspective on China altogether. Globalization is dead, d-e-a-d. It is based upon shipping raw materials and finished goods all over the planet. Hence we have 10,000 mile Caesar salads; tin and aluminum packaging that travel 20,000 miles from mining to manufacture to store; Chilean strawberries in Los Angeles markets instead of those grown right here in California. All of that is made possible by cheap oil. Some 60-70% of all petroleum energy is used for transportation. That's another reason why local solutions are inevitable. Rising transportation costs will kill globalization and outsourcing for anything other than information services and data processing.

Liberal thinkers must stop chewing on bones that have no meat on them. They must be as ruthless in evaluating the return they get for their own investments in terms of time, energy and money (all the same thing, really) as the bad guys are. The question to ask is: Has this tactic ever produced any real change in the political landscape?

AND the part about the Clintons, Rockefellers, Bushes, bin Ladens all being for population control. This fits right in with the Skull & Bones stuff.

NOW I'm scared.

Can we all begin to start a cooperative farm together somewhere?

37. Even a broken clock is right twice a day
"Space prevents a complete dissection of all Ruppert's dots. But in several instances, he misrepresents his source material... says that in February 2001, UPI reported that the National Security Agency had "broken bin Laden's encrypted communications." That would suggest the US government could have picked up word of the coming assault. But the actual story noted not that the US government had gained the capacity to eavesdrop on bin Laden at will but that it had "gone into foreign bank accounts and deleted or transferred funds, and jammed or blocked the group's cell or satellite phones." ... based on a Los Angeles Times story, says the Bush Administration gave $43 million in aid to the Taliban in May 2001, "purportedly" to assist farmers starving since the destruction of their opium crop. Purportedly? Was the administration paying off the Taliban for something else? That is what Ruppert is hinting. The newspaper, though, reported that all US funds "are channeled through the United Nations and international agencies," not handed to the Taliban. Unless Ruppert can show that was not the case, this dot has no particular significance. What if Washington funded international programs assisting Afghan farmers? With his timeline, Ruppert implies far more than he proves. It is a document for those already predisposed to believe that world events are determined by secret, mind-boggling conspiracies of the powerful, by people too influential and wily to be caught but who leave a trail that can be decoded by a few brave outsiders who know where and how to look. "

Don't stop believing, the man from Hope...

Yeah...

And then I saw him after 9-11, rushed in ahead of Bush to psychologically induce Liberals into accepting the official story, going to ground zero, bending over, touching the ground, tearfully looking into the camera, lip quivering..."i almost got him (bin laden)..."

I knew that there had been reports of his, errr, co-operation with the CIA and the Bush Ops people in Mena, Arkansas...Barry Seal, Ollie North...

But his theatrics at ground zero, and knowing as I do who bin laden is and who he works for...

On this weeks show:

The Big Fix 2004: Part 1 of "How to Fix a Presidential Election." Why that's the way the 'Election Services Industry' is the very definition of a "Continuing Criminal Enterprise."

Plus never before seen footage of our exclusive interview with Amanda Keller, Mohamed Atta's American girlfriend with intimate details about the world's most notorious terrorist.

52. Even if Clinton HAD gotten Bin Ladin ...

The 9/11 plot was in the words for quite some time. AND Ramze Bin Yosef (the real mastermind) would still be at large.

The tear drop should represent the fact that if CLINTON was president, he would STILL have been obsessed with protecting the nation from terrorists. Clinton would have CONTINUED the policy of beating the bushes (no pun intended) for information by INSISTING that people justify what THEY are doing about terrorism (forcing information to flow upwards).

If those policies were still in place, the information from two separate FBI agents who individually found the 9/11 plotters WOULD have been taken seriously. Their requests to further their investigations would NOT have been denied. They would have GOTTEN permission to investigate from bosses eager to satisfy their bosses requests for counter-terrorist information. They would have FOUND OUT what those guys were up to. They would have found ALL the terrorists after wire-tapping and tracing communications.

They say Clinton was "lucky" when thwarting the Holland bomb plot and Millenium bomb plot. Field investigators stumbled on something. Yes, they were VERY lucky that happened. And Bush was "lucky" as well. Two separate field investigators found the 9/11 plotters. But Ashcroft's FBI had de-prioritized counter-terrorism. And they were too blinded and stupid to take advantage of their "luck".

If Clinton (or Gore) were president, 9/11 would NEVER have happened.

38. More Source Material
There is an excellent documentary film by the Media Education Foundation (http://www.mediaed.org) called...

"Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear, and the Selling of American Empire"

It is an excellent analysis of the rise of the Neocons, and and excellent teaching tool. It doesn't necessariy offer support to Ruppert's thesis that the attacks were orchestrated, but it definitely proves (to those who are open to seeing it) that there has in fact been a Right Wing cabal.

41. Corn's attack on Ruppert is specious, and founded on the prejudice
Edited on Sat Nov-20-04 08:02 PM by Minstrel Boy
of a worldview that cannot even begin to consider such a thing as official complicity in 9/11.

For instance, Corn says, "to execute the simultaneous destruction of the two towers, a piece of the Pentagon, and four airplanes... is far beyond the skill level of U.S. intelligence. It would require dozens (or scores or hundreds) of individuals to attempt such a scheme."

Wrap your head around what he's saying here: 9/11 was "far beyond the skill level of US intelligence," and yet it wasn't beyond the skill level of a fundamentalist with bad kidneys in an Afghan cave.

Corn also says:

"I recall interviewing one former CIA official who helped manage a division that ran the sort of actions listed above, and I asked him whether the CIA had considered "permanently neutralizing" a former CIA man who had revealed operations and the identities of CIA officers. Kill an American citizen? he replied, as if I were crazy to ask. No, no, he added, we could never do that. Yes, in the spy-world some things were beyond the pale. And, he explained, it would be far too perilous, for getting caught in that type of nasty business could threaten your career."

Corn, here, takes a former CIA official at his word that No, heaven forfend, we would never kill an American citizen. He applies this statement to his case against 9/11 complicity: since the CIA would never kill an American citizen, how much less thousands?

Does the United States government draw the line at committing murder of Americans, regardless of its strategic objectives? Corn says yes. How tenable is his case? How gullible is David Corn?

47. i'm not sure i'd characterize his article as an "attack" as much as
an open minded, but skeptical review of his evidence and sources.

i would suggest people read both authors and decide for themselves who is more credible. my personal opinion after reading Rupperts articles and his "Lucy" list, i didn't find any compelling evidence that the WH planned or specifically had foreknowledge of 911- his sources include a ex navy con man jailed in canada, a community college dj, a grade school student, a ny high schooler from pakistan, and a lot of unrelated news stories that indicate that there was foreknowldge by some, and some circumstantial evidence, just no credible connection to Bushco. (Not that i wouldn't believe that they were not capable of such an act). Show me the smoking gun.

he has little time for "conspiracy theory." His attack on Ruppert was largely personal, and highly selective.

I might say the same about you, judging by your absurdly selective list of Ruppert's "sources."

Crossing the Rubicon runs to more than 600 pages and 1,000 footnotes. Talk to me again after you've read it.

49. CIA
Ruppert doesn't claim the "CIA" as a monolithic entity committed the attacks, he claims elements within the CIA...who for a generation have been loyal to Former-Director GHW Bush...may have been involved.

Ruppert also says you don't need a widescale conspiracy, just 30 people in the right places at the right times. It makes perfect sense once you read his book, AND read Stanley Hilton's lawsuit.

Sure. FBI Director Mueller was reading a DU post on 9/11/01, just

about an hour before Bu$h, I mean, bin Laden destroyed the WTC.

Here is the post Mueller read:

Why do you think that Cheney told the FBI to stop investigating suspected Saudi terrorists in the US?

Could Cheney be planning some sort of "Reichstag fire" catalystic event, a domestic terrorist attack, in order to strike fear into the hearts of the American sheeple in order to orchestrate a fascist takeover of the US, and turn our country into an aggressive one party military police state? Gee, I think bin Laden is going to hit the WTC with an airplane sometime today.

Gosh, why is the FBI reading this post instead of stopping terrorists from attacking the WTC?

Oh, yeah - Cheney told them to stand down, and not stop the Saudi terrorists.

Never mind.

satire?/off

51. I'm skeptical.
I think that if 9/11 were orchestrated solely to give the US an excuse to militarily seize control of the Middle Eastern oil supply then they could have done a much better job of it and left fewer things to chance. First of all, why even have Osama Bin Laden in the picture at all? Are we assuming that they wanted direct control of the opium in Afghanistan to sell covertly and needed an excuse to take Afghanistan along with Iraq?

Why not just do the attacks and then pin the whole thing on Saddam Hussein? That would have been so much easier. It's not as though they couldn't easily manufacture evidence that the media would lap up. Heck, why not just sneak some WMD into Iraq for US troops to find and instantly validate Bush's whole preemptive war policy?

Any kind of "smoking gun" at all in Iraq that tied Saddam to either WMD or Al Quaeda would have turned this past election from a nail biter to a slam dunk. If you can secretly orchestrate something like 9/11 then it should be child's play to plant some forged documents, mustard gas cannisters, uranium or **something** in Iraq. Bush wouldn't have even needed to steal the election if, in fact, he did steal it this time.

Don't get me wrong. I think we're dealing with some genuinely Machiavellian and dangerous people in the Bush administration. I think that they would and did seize on 9/11 as an excuse to implement their PNAC based agenda. However, I cetainly don't believe 9/11 was staged. It could have been prevented, though, if Bush had his team had only been a bit more vigilant and competent.
