Anyone have, or know a link to photos from 60's protests?
I'm an artist and just finished a painting of Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and I put the original NY skyline in the background. I now want to do one of Jackie Kennedy, but use images from the turmoil of the 60's in a collage. I can't seem to find any photos from that era, and I need the DUs help.

33. You're geocities account has exceeded its bandwidth
Try photobucket. It's free, minimal ads, and has a large bandwidth usage even for the free account. Then you can simply put the url of the image into your text like this:

Here is the url:
http://photobucket.com /

See if LIFE MAGAZINE has an archive. Specifically, June - September 1968. Should give you all the images you need. Hope that helps.

10. post a pic of your painting
I wanna see. I just love Audrey. I used to have a book filled with protest pics from the 60's. I'm sure it's around here somewhere. If I find it I'll scan some in for you. you can do a google image search. That should work try protest pictures kent state or something like that. It should pull up pages of pics. Hope this helps.

19. I'm doing a series of modern goddesses
She endured a hell of a lot being a president's wife, then widow. Not to mention the constant badgering she received even after his death. But through everything, she always maintained her class and dignity even when her husband didn't. She also represents a sort of death of an era. After Kennedy died, the war mongers jumped at the chance to send troops to Vietnam. I'm also adding pics of NASA and King, to show the legacy of the Kennedy's.

38. I don't copy another's thoughts
As an artist of painting, we get a lot of leigh way with that. Think Andy Warhol. For us, everyone and everything is free game. Also, I don't use entire pictures, I use concepts. If copyrights started applying to artists, there wouldn't be any contemporary, or pop art in the world at all.
