Proselytizing in VA schools: Rick & Mick
SNIP>RICHMOND, Va. -- Rick and Mick Vigneulle bill themselves as 5-foot-4 identical twins who use comedy, music and dynamic communication to motivate schoolchildren across the nation. The American Civil Liberties Union calls them evangelicals.

The state's chapter of the ACLU said Friday that the brothers used five public schools in southeastern Virginia as vehicles for religious proselytizing to students this week. After parents began complaining, the ACLU sent a letter to school administrators urging them to cancel the appearances.<SNIP

SNIP>For 20 years, Rick & Mick have presented the motivational "It's All in Your Attitude" assembly program. This "must-have" presentation, endorsed by Zig Ziglar, has educated and encouraged students in hundreds of high schools across the United States.

Since most public high schools do not allow religious content, Rick & Mick invite students to a second event, the "Pizza Blast." This event is where students receive FREE pizza, pop and program held at a neutral location. It's at these Pizza Blasts, sponsored by the local business community, churches, and concerned citizens, that Rick & Mick are able to share their Christian testimony. This offers students the opportunity to receive Christ after hearing a clear and positive presentation of the Gospel.<SNIP

1. I remember something like this in HS some 15 years ago -
these motivational speakers who had a big pizza party gathering on the weekend after - and at the pizza party it was all about religion and getting saved by Jeebus and coming forward to accept Christ(TM).
