Man, it seems like a lot of states had their own equivalent of Paul Wellstone in the 60s and 70s, even Republicans like Jacob Javits. Shit, Barack Obama would have been a "moderate" compared to those guys. Barry Goldwater, a pro-choice/pro-gay founding member of the Arizona NAACP, was thought of as a "dangerous, right-wing extremist."

We seem to ride to one side until it goes to far then it moves back to the center and then off to the other side. It looks like the world is becoming more Dem. many more countries than when I was born. ('30's) Some of the countries that were under control of other countries are really bad off and some are getting better. Look at Indo-China or what was that part of the world.
