Particularly this one: "No matter the outcome of all this counting and re-counting we must stay united, If we divide up and attack each other we all lose, and they win."
THEY are having a great time, believing that we are in disarray. I think we're just dealing with a blow that, as much as we tried to be prepared for it, there just was no way to do it. How do you really prepare to sit back and watch your nation self-destruct? Can't be done. So, we're upset and some are pointing fingers and others are trying to overturn the results and are naturally enough disturbed if not everyone is invested in that, and still others are just very depressed.
I think it's all very understandable. We also have a fair amount of honest disagreement about how to go from here. That can't be avoided. It would be really contructive if we could think of ourselves as one kind of big tent - we could call it the Not Evil tent, and then join the caucus of our choice, with the understanding that we're all on the same page when it comes to being Not Evil and from here on need to pursue the various ways of defeating Evil.
OK, it's late and I'm among the depressed and not very coherent. I just trust you'll understand what I'm trying to say. We're ALL the good guys - from the far left to the center left.
