Sticking Together
No matter the outcome of all this counting and re-counting we must stay united, If we divide up and attack each other we all lose, and they win.

No matter what reason you had 56+ million people voted for Kerry, that gives him alot of power. I say we stay behind him and let him use it. He can he is in a position to fight them from the inside the only way he can do this is if we stay united and stand behind him.

Will he run again in 2008 at this point I do not think this is the major issue and standing behind him as a Senator and making him a Powerful Force in the Senate does not mean you have to support another bid for Presidency should that happen.

But it means we stop now attacking him and start supporting him as we have for these last months it means we show Bush Republicans that we can stay united and we stay united for the right reasons.

And that reason you ask? Because this is our Country Dammit and We The People Have the Power. Not one man with a extreme religious group behind him US.

This is my plea think about it please.

Particularly this one:
"No matter the outcome of all this counting and re-counting we must stay united, If we divide up and attack each other we all lose, and they win."

THEY are having a great time, believing that we are in disarray. I think we're just dealing with a blow that, as much as we tried to be prepared for it, there just was no way to do it. How do you really prepare to sit back and watch your nation self-destruct? Can't be done. So, we're upset and some are pointing fingers and others are trying to overturn the results and are naturally enough disturbed if not everyone is invested in that, and still others are just very depressed.

I think it's all very understandable. We also have a fair amount of honest disagreement about how to go from here. That can't be avoided. It would be really contructive if we could think of ourselves as one kind of big tent - we could call it the Not Evil tent, and then join the caucus of our choice, with the understanding that we're all on the same page when it comes to being Not Evil and from here on need to pursue the various ways of defeating Evil.

OK, it's late and I'm among the depressed and not very coherent. I just trust you'll understand what I'm trying to say. We're ALL the good guys - from the far left to the center left.

2. Exactly
We need to Unite behind one Goal! It doesn't matter if we don't agree on everything Democrats and Parties like us have always considered ourselves the party of inclusion, right now because there are so many issues its understandable we don't always agree but we must agree on one thing. Now finding that thing. Keeping track of Bush and limiting any damage he can do has to be a priority so we have to strengthen our Representatives and let them know we are watching.

I happen to really really respect and admire Kerry but I know everyone doesn't feel the same and that is fine, but we can not cut our noses off to spite our face (as mom always says) the fact is republicans now fear Kerry somewhat he has power the more they can make us think he doesn't the happier they are. But no matter the reason 56+ million people voted for him and that is a power in itself.
