Let us praise Air America's UNFILTERED.

We talk a lot around here about Randi, Malloy, Franken, and Garofalo & Seder, but I can't recall ever having seen a thread (or even a post!) about AAR's great 9:00 a.m. - noon show, UNFILTERED. Well, I would like to start such a thread!

UNFILTERED is a terrific show. Lizz Winstead is hilarious, I've admired Chuck D since his Public Enemy days, and Rachel Maddow is a consummate radio professional. I have to assume that the latter had worked in radio before she came to AAR. Either that or she took to the medium like a fish to water!

UNFILTERED has regular features to which I've come to look forward. On Tuesdays, it's "Ask A Vet," when a member of Operation Truth appears on the show and takes questions from callers. On Fridays, it's "Ambrosia Sings The News." And five days a week, it's Kent Jones with the always-funny "Unfiltered News," and "The Pap Attack" with populist lawyer Mike Papantonio (sp?).

I've only gotten into UNFILTERED during the last couple of months, but I'm damned glad that I discovered this fine, fine program. If you haven't already done so, check UNFILTERED out some time! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

after black tuesday, I turned off TV and started listening full time to AAR, and I reckon this is the best show on AAR, well I can't really judge AM sedition as I'm normally not surfaced in time. But Unfiltered rocks.

it's easily my least favorite show in the lineup.

I must say however that for the last week I've appreciated it being there more and more, which has more to do with the need to hear my feelings about what's happening validated rather than taking a sudden liking to Liz or Rachael (though Chuck has always been cool).

I turn on AAR at 6AM and keep it on until we lose Mike malloy sometime around midnight. I wish he was on longer. I really enjoy ALL of the shows and haven't been listening to tv news at all for quite awhile now.
