Former Navy secretary blasts Bush on Iraq (Webb)
http://home.hamptonroads.com/stories/story.cfm?story=59068&ran=179286

I was in Hampton Roads over the weekend but just learned of this via Joe Conason's Salon.com column today. This seems like a major development on the Republican side. Hope it hasn't been posted before and I missed it.

5. what does drip, drip, drip mean?
I see this all the time, but have not been able to figure it out. And it's not in the dictionary.

7. it harkens back to the way that Watergate developed from ...
mid-72 until the ultimate resignation of Tricky Dick. One little thing after another, like falling water eroding rock. Drip. Drip. Drip.

8. It just evokes the image of drips that eventually can erode rocks--
all it takes is LOTS of them. (There's probably a flaw in this generally optimistic image, in that we don't want this to take millenia. But that's o.k.--images aren't always perfect.) There doesn't seem to be a way to deliver a knockout punch to Bush*, but every time someone stands up and speaks out is one more drip, eroding Bush*s credibility (not that he really has any) and leading to his hoped-for downfall.

9. The excruciatingly slow loss of credibility, drop by drop
as one inconvenient fact after another comes to light.

2. It's just becoming a nonpartisan parade, isn't it?
I am losing track of all the military/CIA/FBI/economists/... folks who keep slamming BFEE.

I missed it then, also. Thanks for the link. I've already emailed the article to friends.

4. Amazing
Now on the front page of Latest there are two links to former secretaries of the military who are blasting Whistle Ass for his war. This one and White, Chimpy's own secretary of the army who Rumsfeld fired in May.

Wowza. Stick a fork in the Dopehead in Chief. He's done.

6. Seems like the military would like to mutiny...
if they wouldn't end up in Gitmo! Shrub is getting a lot of coverage in military publications these days -- and I don't think he's quite as popular as he thinks he must be.

BTW, Hi, Carolinayellowdog!! :hi: Long time no see!!
