hero; he didn't get out the vote with some fucking brilliant strategy. He tried to destroy an honorable man who served his country with distinction. Rove isn't brilliant, he's scum. It is to Kerry's credit that he didn't stoop to Rove's level. Brilliant my ass, he's just dishonest, disceitful, and evil.

1. genius?
All you do hear from the loudies on the left is talk about how the Democratic Party got it wrong. Needs to sort some major issues out. A complete re-alignment of the DNC and a new set of principles to appeal to all the bible-thumping-gun-toting-homophobic-swingers in the South. If I hear again that Karl Rove ran a better campaign than John Kerry and had a clearer message I am going to have a heart attack. Why do the people on CNN think that the mudslinging, distortions and appeal to the insecurities and fears of the lowest common denominators in this country is a good campaign?

3. Hell, they started the Iraq war just to get favorable ratings
bush/s dad had a 90% approval rating right after the Kuwaiti war, hmmmmmmm, why don't we have a war and get that approval ourselves.

7. Two things disturb me lately in relation to Rove and the smear
1. That I have to look at Porky Pig's picture now for the next 4 years. I saw him in the NYT today and thought, gee he's getting more outright media attention now. Oh goodie.

2. Letters like this in my local newspaper:

"Democrats can only blame themselves
I wrote the Journal Sentinel a letter in 2000 about the Democrats’ refusal to do the right thing. The Democrats lost another election by not doing the right thing.

In 2000, Al Gore would have been an incumbent president and easily would have won election if he and the Democrats had thrown the disgraced President Clinton out of office.

In 2004, all John Kerry needed to do was apologize for his despicable behavior after the Vietnam War. He refused and was torpedoed by the gallant Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. They told America about this incredibly weak candidate, and their opinions were totally ignored by Kerry’s accomplices in the mainstream media.

Massachusetts can have Kerry.

John P. Hogan
Pewaukee"

John Kerry had nothing to apologize for. His behavior was not dispicable, it was heroic, just as heroic as his service in the war. The Swift Boat Vets are not gallant; they are the ones who are despicable. John Kerry was not a weak candidate; he was one of the more qualified candidates to come along in a while, experience-wise.

Furthermore, Bush's "win" does not validate the Swift Vets and what they said about Kerry. It does not turn a lie into the truth.

I had to rush into the ladies room at Starbucks after reading that letter. I think the Baristas thought I was a nut, but I do try not to cry in public.

11. They call him a genius, but he lied, cheated, manipulated, duped
And for that you are the genius. I guess in America as long as you win it doesn't matter how. Look at Enron, MCI, Skillings, Martha Stewart the list is endless

9. A Lee Attwater clone? A genius?
Scum doesn't begin to describe this type of uniquely American, fundy asshole.

By the way, I've often wondered: is this freak married? (pardon my ignorance. I'm Canadian; I can only stomach so much of this shite during your election "season".)

12. Well the war in Iraq will last a long time, the deficits do matter
The flat sales tax will not pass but voters will be shocked at the thought of having to pay 30% more on everything they buy.

14. People please watch Bush's Brain
if you get a chance. It is coming on Sundance Channel

Sun Nov 14 12:00pm CST

Fri Nov 19 05:30am CST

Fri Nov 19 04:30pm CST

I watched for a while last week and it chilled me to the bone to think someone would do such dishonest things to win. I had no idea he was involved with Clemmons when he ran against Mark White. I'm going to watch again because I missed some of it, What I did see was very telling about what this man is capable of doing
