Judging by their actions, what are republican values?
We know their words, but should we not go by their actions instead?

1. Okay...NOW you're singing my song!
They were quite successful at defining us... we're the party without morals! Actions huh? Yes, they are "known by their fruits" (no pun intended, Andrew Sullivan.)

How about a good ol' Dean line: You can't trust a Republican with your money?

Or as my husband says, "Bush has never seen a spending bill he didn't like."

3. We need to break the MYTH that repubs are for hard work and proper payoff
for that hard work.

It's a lie that needs to be exposed. And while it may once have been true, Godfather Reagan took no delay in changing the rules while singing the same song.

2. Yes.
All the holy books and spiritual ways say that a Believer is known by their actions.

4. Republican Values
Republican Values

1. Everybody should own as many guns as they want.
2. Women are inferior, should be subservient and support their husbands. They should not work outside the home.
3. All life is sacred, after a sperm hits an egg a woman must carry the pregnancy to term and raise the child. She should stay at home to do it.
4. After the baby grows up, if he does something wrong, kill him dead.
5. If the baby is brown, or of another color, race or religion, it's okay to kill him.
6. You can do anything you want, even murder, just ask God for forgiveness and you're absolved.
7. God wants everyone but white Americans dead, and God only wants male white Americans to have any freedom.
8. Anyone who believes differently is going to Hell. Shooting them isn't considered a sin because they're of Satan.

9. Clarifications?
#3 - addendum: All life is sacred until it exits, stage right, out of the vagina.

#5 - addendum: Sexual preference is not heterosexual

11. Right-o Just realized I left out the hetero-only part...
Republican Values Addendum: All gays are evil and must be stopped. It's okay to do anything you want to stop them as long as you don't get caught and ask forgiveness from Santa God...

6. You respect life
unless that life has a complexion darker than beige. You value religion, so long as it's Christian. You weep for the unborn, but don't seem to have a problem dropping bombs on whole communities. You value marriage between a man and a woman, yet live in states where divorce is among the highest in the nation.

Honestly, I really don't know what morals these assholes are talking about.

8. Just add one word before Christian ... fundamentalist.
I have promised my progressive Christian friends here on DU that I will not lump them with the Religious Right Extremists.

I would add ..

* - if woman is poor and single, then she has to work 40+, so that we don't have to pay welfare.

But you guys pretty much have my Religious Right relatives down.

12. Machiavellian
in every sense of the word. It is no small coincidence that Rove reads "The Prince" once a year. This is the 1531 story of the amoral and unscrupulous political calculations by which an "ideal" prince maintains power.

Trivial pursuit: Who advised Rove to read "The Prince" in order to serve as a guide to political power in a cynical world? (Hint: It ain't Willie Horton.)

14. Lying, cheating, stealing -- and scamming senior citizens
There is an amazing amount of completely unconsciounable stuff going on among the second and third rank of Republican organizations and supporters.

The worst part is that they don't even seem to notice they're doing anything wrong. The level of hypocricy is astonishing.
