Why does the US want Iraqi troops to handle the 'insurgents'?
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 07:30 AM by HypnoToad
The US invaded, using lies and pretense to justify its reckless actions.

Now we're pitting some Iraqis against other Iraqis because we apparently have to pull out. (for 'pull out', read 'move to neighboring Iran even though they supported Bush. No good deed goes unpunished.')

So the US is now ransacking countries and then relieving itself of its responsibility by inducing civil war amongst the country's own people?

And will both sects of Iraqis look outside the box to see how we are manipulating them? While we got rid of Saddam FWIW, that doesn't necessarily mean we should be blindly revered as saints and saviors.

I am not anti-soldier, BTW. I am anti-insane-(mis)administration that decides what the soldiers do.

1. They desperately want it to appear that
the resistance fighters are enemies of Iraq. They still are attempting to portray the US as liberators.

2. It's a headscratcher
given the reports that a large number of the Iraqi troops are insurgents.

5. Wasn't a black man worth 3/5ths of a white man, before the civil war?
As I recall, the fraction was to mean that blacks were not equal to whites. :puke:

4. I just heard (on NPR) that the original 500 Iraqis
who were to fight in Fallujah has dwindled to 170 in the last few days due to desertions.
