One of our MAIN problems: Our targets are too broad
For example we talk about "the media", or we get a little more specific by identifying CNN. But our efforts become extremely diluted when the target is so huge. Wouldn't we be better off identifying one identifiable and discrete issue, the going after it in a coordinated fashion. The "sending of a message" has many secondary benefits as well.

For example, on a program today, (In The Money?) some incredibly outrageous comments were made. It was the typical CNN crap. We can identify the one miscreant, a guy from Money.com who could really use an education. Calling him to account by sending thousands LTTE and e-mails to him and CNN ombudsman would go a long way, imho.

2. We should really get a separate forum for each actionable issue
We have a "media" forum, but it seems to be more for the discussion and analysis of media in general.

Perhaps if we start acting in certain ways in certain forums, we can turn them into strike centers instead of lounges.

We could appoint media watchers to point out things that look suspicious, people in the forum could do fact checking, and everyone else could do LTTE/email blitzes.

4. Media Matters is already doing a great job of this
what we need to do is translate that into actionable items.

3. I've already got a target, though it is broad in scope it can be tackled
one piece at a time.

One small bite after another and the elephant will be gone.
