This wasn't the most important election, 2000 was
we just didn't realize it at the time

1. I watched OUTFOXED for the first time last night and you don't know
how right you are. Well, maybe you do but Fox calling Florida for Bush was what got him in office. Without the 2000 election results we would be in an entirely different boat right now.

2. Some of us knew at the time how important it was. It was a "tipping"
point which exposed the "Snake Pit." You are correct...all we are dealing with came from "Selection 2000."

4. I was one of those who feared its importance. Still, I am shocked

over the results of 2004, much as one is over the death of an elderly friend. I knew it was coming; but I was still shocked and saddened, even though I had been telling my friends Kerry would win and Bush would steal it.

3. You are absolutley correct...
Gore was supposed to win in 2000. Bush stole the election, changed the natural flow of this country, and now we live in Conservative Jesusland.

5. True.
If Bush hadn't stolen the 2000 election, then 9/11 would not have been allowed to happen, there would be no reason to go into Iraq, there would be no false belief among half of America that a war in Iraq is part of the War on Terror, which made that half of America believe that Bush was keeping them safe. It's a chain of events that started with Bush stealing the White House in 2000. This election was sort of a landmark election. Would America be duped out of a good president again. Yup. Of course, it's not over yet. See this thread.

6. I realized it. I cautioned every one that I could against the folly of
putting two oilmen in the White House and of having an all repuke government. What were people thinking??? Didn't take a rocket science to figure out that once the repukes had total control of the government they would never yield power. Yet, the people who supported Nader in 2000 continue to bitch the loudest.
