The enemy won't attack us here because they know Bush is crazy
so says a co-worker.

He said that by invading Iraq, Bush has sent the message that he is unstable, and there is no telling how he will react to another attack here on US soil.

Do you buy this?

19. Hahahaha, OMG!
I bet your co-worker voted for "crazy" Bush too, right? Did he vote for him because he is crazy and figures no one will attack a country that has a nut for a leader? LOL!

2. So, a Good Defense is a Stupid Offense?
Somehow that does not bring me much comfort. Besides, the enemy knows all it has to do is operate out of a nation with no oil in it. Then, after the attack, they can be assured that Bush will attack the wrong place.

3. That is dumb on so many levels
Everytime Chimp attacks another country, the terrorists cheer. Why would they be afraid of that?

4. No
Hey CatWoman.

No, the logic is simple:
A. Enemy attacks US
B. Bush randomly attacks wrong enemy in retaliation
How does this discourage anybody?

7. Hey - I agree with you
the conversation started with me insisting that another attack is imminent in this country, and that was his logic in discounting my belief.

BTW: :hi:

good to see you.

5. Do I buy this?
No one in the Soviet Union actually thought Nixon was nuts.
None of the stateless groups clogged with volunteers cares wether Caligula is nuts, either.

Let me see, if I were about to strap a bomb to myself, would I be really very concerned about reprisals?

The one thing about killing yourself to destroy something... you suffer no reprisals.

10. This is why he's going to get us all killed! If we suffer another attack
and he tries to blame it on Syria or Iran, and he invades without cause, we just may be in another World War with no major allies except Britain! Don't people learn from history? You can't invade nations and expect other nations to look the other way!

12. So committing suicide in a bombing attack is SANE?
Your co-worker sounds like a complete moron.

I pity you for having to work around him.

14. actually, he is a manager
he told me the story of his youth -- growing up in racist Alabama.

The Klan would ride around in their pickups, rattling chains -- trying to intimidate the blacks.

He and his friends armed themselves and put the word out that these "crazy black men" had armed themselves with shotguns.

I said, to me, that was standing up, and issuing a challenge -- not acting "crazy".

However, one could conclude that during those days, it could be viewed as such.

13. Show them the excerpts from the tape previous:
Oh American people, my talk to you is about the best way to avoid another Manhattan, about the war, its causes, and results.

~snip

I am amazed at you. Although almost four years have passed since the <11 September> incidents, Bush is still practising distortion and confusion.

He also continues to conceal from you the real reason . Thus, the motives still exist for repeating what happened.

~snip

We did not find it difficult to deal with Bush and his administration, because it is similar to regimes in our countries, half of which are governed by the military and the other half of which are governed by the sons of kings and presidents; and we have a long experience with them.

~snip

Your security does not lie in the hands of Kerry, Bush, or al-Qaeda. Your security is in your own hands. Each and every state that does not tamper with our security will have automatically assured its own security

16. Ya mean like Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon?
"Don't mess with me - I'm one crazy muthafucka!"

I think your co-worker's grasp on reality is unduly shaped by the action section of his local Blockbuster.
