1. That's The Worst Part of It

In 2000, nada.

In 2004, there was the biggest grass-roots effort on the part of
the Democrats that I've ever seen. I don't see how we could do
any more than we did on that score.

2. 100% more this year, in my little corner of the world

We did virtually nothing in 2000. This year we had almost 100 volunteers on the phones, on the street, writing letters, etc.

And that's just coordinated with the State Dem Party. If you include MoveOn and ACT it was probably a 300% increase.

We won the state so I feel we did our job.
