He will not concede, he will not appear weak to the nation, he will not make some limp-dicked speech about how he strongly disagrees with a particular decision but will roll over anyway like a fucking PUSSY. He will FIGHT. He will fight tooth and nail to make certain that Democracy was not fucked with in Ohio, and that the enormous and extremely pissed off chunk of the American public who placed their future and their children's futures in his hands will NOT go unrepresented for another four years. John Kerry understands just how much is at stake in this election, and he's not about to act the fucking meek lamb this time. I don't think Kerry has a meek bone in his body. Where Gore pussied out, Kerry will FIGHT. We will NOT hand over another four years of influence over this country to a group of blood-thirsty, war-mongering madmen without first giving them the fight of our lives.
This is NOT over. I don't care if people label me an extremist for the next four years. I think the safety of our democracy is worth any cost.
As I write this, I am completely exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I, like many other people I know, went into this evening expecting a fairly substantial win for Kerry, but we all know what came to pass instead... Obviously, the Worst Case Scenario here is that Bush manages to slime his way back into the White House, but if that heppens, he will take with him all the baggage he's built up over the last four years. Remember, this is a guy who has never had to clean up his own messes in his entire sheltered life. I'n not even sure he's ever even held a job long enough to even have to clean up own shit. This time, assuming he "wins", will be MUCH different. Iraq will not magically become a perfectly functional democracy on Jan. 22. The economy will not take a magic pill and return to Clintonian levels. Bin Laden and his fanatics will only step up their hatred and rhetoric towards us. The entire rest of the world will not suddenly decide that Bush is not actually in fact the Antichrist. If Bush gets another term, he will sorely regret ever running for President in the first place. Kerry has handled serious shit before, alone on a river with only a few comrades beside him. He's up to the task of leading this country around what is quickly becoming the most dangerous bend in its existence. Bush is not, but he doesn't realize that truth. He's in for a seriously rude awakening, and his breakdown will be broadcast for the entire world to see, and for history to judge. I say Bring It On.
Wow, this post really got away from me. If you actually read the whole thing, then I'm sorry if it didn't make all that much sense but everyone else in my house is asleep and I needed to vent. Moments like this are why I come to DU, and people like the people who are reading this right now are why I still have faith in this great country. Thank You. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.
