Last time, Gore was a tame housecat. This time, Kerry is a fucking LION.
He will not concede, he will not appear weak to the nation, he will not make some limp-dicked speech about how he strongly disagrees with a particular decision but will roll over anyway like a fucking PUSSY. He will FIGHT. He will fight tooth and nail to make certain that Democracy was not fucked with in Ohio, and that the enormous and extremely pissed off chunk of the American public who placed their future and their children's futures in his hands will NOT go unrepresented for another four years. John Kerry understands just how much is at stake in this election, and he's not about to act the fucking meek lamb this time. I don't think Kerry has a meek bone in his body. Where Gore pussied out, Kerry will FIGHT. We will NOT hand over another four years of influence over this country to a group of blood-thirsty, war-mongering madmen without first giving them the fight of our lives.

This is NOT over. I don't care if people label me an extremist for the next four years. I think the safety of our democracy is worth any cost.

As I write this, I am completely exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I, like many other people I know, went into this evening expecting a fairly substantial win for Kerry, but we all know what came to pass instead... Obviously, the Worst Case Scenario here is that Bush manages to slime his way back into the White House, but if that heppens, he will take with him all the baggage he's built up over the last four years. Remember, this is a guy who has never had to clean up his own messes in his entire sheltered life. I'n not even sure he's ever even held a job long enough to even have to clean up own shit. This time, assuming he "wins", will be MUCH different. Iraq will not magically become a perfectly functional democracy on Jan. 22. The economy will not take a magic pill and return to Clintonian levels. Bin Laden and his fanatics will only step up their hatred and rhetoric towards us. The entire rest of the world will not suddenly decide that Bush is not actually in fact the Antichrist. If Bush gets another term, he will sorely regret ever running for President in the first place. Kerry has handled serious shit before, alone on a river with only a few comrades beside him. He's up to the task of leading this country around what is quickly becoming the most dangerous bend in its existence. Bush is not, but he doesn't realize that truth. He's in for a seriously rude awakening, and his breakdown will be broadcast for the entire world to see, and for history to judge. I say Bring It On.

Wow, this post really got away from me. If you actually read the whole thing, then I'm sorry if it didn't make all that much sense but everyone else in my house is asleep and I needed to vent. Moments like this are why I come to DU, and people like the people who are reading this right now are why I still have faith in this great country. Thank You. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.

1. Another opposite
Kerry even more trapped on one set of votes of one type in Ohio, even narrower than Florida was. Florida still a hopeless tarbaby beyond accountability. Looks appreciably worse than 2000.

We never have been allowed to see a hint of daylight or being ahead barely a single concession to "surprises" or "irregularities". Even California never put us ahead.

Now Bush with most of his stolen bag is going to declare(as he WOULD have done in 2000) PV mandate victory. And where are the 120,000,000 votes?

Heil Bush.

3. Yeah, great. Kerry's no punk.
Problem is, the giggling murderer WON this election.

He actually IS the president now.

What good its a candidate with backbone when he's lost the popular vote decisively?

Mark my words, Kerry will have conceded within 48 hours.

5. If he fights, he will actually win fans
For some reason, the American people like fighters, even if they don't agree with what the fighters are fighting for.

Plus, if it can be proved that the Busheviks cheated, proved beyond a reasonable doubt in a way that even the dimmest freeper can understand it, we might have a chance of turning this country around.

7. Alas, as it turns out, Kerry is a toothless ground squirrel, not a lion.
What a valiant battle. I feel so motivated now that with hard work I can accomplish anything. :eyes:

9. Yeah, last night I was so angry but motivated at the same time.
I thought there was no way Kerry would roll over like Gore did. Who would have thought that Al fucking Gore would put up a better fight than a guy with three Purple Hearts...

11. A toothless ground squirrel? Why you pipsqeak,
let's see you go fight in a war, let's see you testify against an immoral war, let's see you run for office....any office. When you have done those things, you can call Kerry whatever you want...until then, you are a punk.
