Just voted on the largest ballot (physical size),ever. SoCal
Optical scan, about 22 inches long by 9 inches wide. When I checked in they handed me this huge ballot with a privacy cover and a marking pen.
At least there are no touch screen units here in San Diego county.

3. What's the outlook
on the three strikes initiative and the Louisiana-style primary?

I'm in exile in DC and dying to know what happens in my home state.

5. It should pass. Its costing taxpayers in CA too much.
Too many people doing life for stealing cars.
The ads against the prop have Ah-Nold talking about how rapists, murderers and child molestors will be back on the streets if prop 66 passes. Bullshit! Only non-violent offenders will have their sentences commuted. Ah-nold is such a pathetic hack.

7. Arnold is Beyond a Hack
My co-workers were saying at lunch how he is a "not so evil" Republican because he's pro-choice and pro-gay. Just how pro-gay is he? He opposed Gavin Newsome's creative attempt to circumvent the marriage laws in SF. And his pro-choice stance does not help anyone. It's not like one little anti-choice Republican could overrride the pro-choice majorities in the Assembly and Senate.

He is a sexual harrasser, wants to amend the constitution for his own personal benefit, and has put the state into a world of hurt with his BS bond for $15 billion for NORMAL OPERATING EXPENSES. That is not what bond issues are for. If he really had the guts he claims to have he would simply raise the taxes that need to be raised, deal with the sacred cow of prop 13, and be a responsible leader instead of putting a world of debt on future generations.

He proposed to save a few bucks by threatening to kill lost cats and dogs three days earlier.

I am embarrased that he thinks "girlie man" passes as political discourse. And I am REALLY embarrased that the Shriver family puts up with him.

6. LOL....I hear ya....
I was in Ocean Beach. This was my third different voting methodolgy since I moved here over 6 years ago. I did punch card in Normal Heights, touchscreen last year and now optical scan.

Geez, 20+ freakin ballot measures. Yikes.

9. Brisk for the early morning vote....
At 7:30am the line was out the door and around the corner. It took about an hour when all was said and done (I anguished over a couple of the props). As I left the line had shortened to just outside the door but it was 8:30 by then. My roommate voted a little after that and he said the line was inside but steady.

I voted in the morning this year because the evening is usually brutal. Even when turnout was so-so for 2002.

I've got a bet on the turnout for CA with the over/under agreed on at 57%.
