Hey Bush. Middle America is NOT as stupid as you think it is.
Seeing the photos of Karen Huge and Snotty McClellan today, dolled up in camo to try and ridicule Kerry made something hit home with me. These people ACTUALLY THINK that most of middle America guffaws away at this crap as do their freeper dolt followers. Guess what- Middle Americans are NOT the morons you take them to be.

They humored you when you came up with "freedom fries". They stayed away in droves when you staged your sparsely-attended pro-war, anti-Dixie Chick rallies. They DIDN't pour their French wine down the drain just because you told them to, and when you made jokes about Kerry "looking French", they laughed AT you, not with you. I'm not saying that they are liberal, but they are not that stupid, and I think this endless pandering to what Bush & Co thinks is the stupidity of the Average middle American is what is going to come back and bite them on the ass. They claim we're the Ivory Tower liberals, but the way they speak to America, as though they were a bunch of total morons, smacks of pure contempt for the American people.

Mark my words. They sense it. And they will vote for a change.

1. I wish you were right, but I think you're wrong. In my experience,
people really can be that stupid. The fact that half the country wants Bush after 4 years of his bullshit should be evidence enough.

3. There are plenty of stupid people.
But to think they are stupid as a whole is a massive miscalculation. The reason Reagan succeeded was that he was a true believer, and he TRULY liked people, everyday working people, including the folks in the midwest, where he was born and raised. People sensed that about him and responded to that.

Bush's early popularity, however, was based on fear and anger, and eventually those emotions give way to the pursuit of some understanding.

I think these people must sense the contempt that the Bush administration shows for them with these grade-school antics, and with their simplistic and repetitive catch-phrase non-answers to simple questions.

Lincoln was right about fooling some of the people some of the time.
