tinfoil hat moment here...what if he, purposely, screws things up even worse in iraq and elsewhere, so that he can hand kerry a great big pile of shit on inaugeration day?

A * attempt to screw things up worse than now would probably make things better.

7. remember how poppy set up somalia for clinton?
and shrubbie is way more vengeful and spiteful than poppy.

absolutely no doubt that shrub will lay several traps for kerry.

the one thing we can hope for, though, is that these *ssholes are incompetent.

22. not sure that you can blame that one on poppy
the atf arrest attempt that started that whole mess took place 2/28/93, 5 weeks into clinton's presidency.

janet reno took a whole lot of flak for that one, and SHE was not comfirmed as attorney general until late in the game. so SHE certainly didn't deserve the flak she got.

true, the original investigation that led up to the initial arrest attempt took place while poppy weas president, but i'm not sure you can blame an atf f*ckup and a suicidal cult on poppy. frankly, i don't think he's that good.

8. 4 years ago
The wingnuts were accusing Clinton of doing that very thing with the economy - saying that he purposely tanked the dollar on the international currency exchanges in order to hand Shrub an economic mess.

Personally, I think that's a humongous steaming pile, but I did want to add that to put this in historical perspective.

9. He's already leaving Kerry a steaming pile of poo poo...
amazing that the entire country can't see that. Worst president EVER!

It's possible that he can screw things up even more, but it's also possible that he'll just trounce off in a huff and basically eschew more hard work.

10. That's not tinfoil-hat
The Republican Party is nothing but a crime syndicate, with one objective and one objective only: seizing as much power (which means money) as they can. Bush's prime mission in the next 3 months will be to weaken the impending Kerry presidency.

12. The Kerry Administration is probably going to have to drag that crazy
man out of the White House while he's kicking and screaming his bloody head off. Any doubts that he'll be trying to screw Kerry and thereby this country up as much as he can are foolish. I can see this crazy bastard calling up air strikes in Iran a day after he loses. He'll pull something very, very, very ugly. Or so I think. The test will be if he gets away with it or not.

This is what I've always seen as the bad part of the presidential elections, that the guy voted out of office (or who has served his two terms and his successor isn't of his party) gets almost three more months in power. Anything can happen in three months.

if he loses the election; and leaves Kerry the mess and the budget in an even heavier deficit than it is now.

25. I would count on it, though that might not be the purpose.
Ensuring that the occupation lasts for decades is guaranteed income for the war profiteers; and a major bombing campaign yields immediate purchase orders for more bombs, doesn't it? Who knows what other motivations they might have.
