Poll question: Pull-out, beef-up, or replace our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan?
What's the right thing to do and why?

2. Our presence making things worse?
Picture this:

If many Iraqis are fighting us--not the damn foreign terrorists mind you--because we are on their land and in their lives, then should we leave? However, if we leave, we run into the notion that the country will fall into chaos or into the wrong hands. What do we do?

Is it possible to withdraw and offer humanitarian aid, funds instead to let Iraqis rebuild themselves instead of getting Halliburton? Should we let Iraqis choose to live together or apart? If they choose to live apart, then should we respect that? Or should we try and force them to live under the same roof? If they elect a government unfriendly to the US, should we overthrow that government? Or accept the choice made?

3. That is exactly why the PTB are keeping us there, they
aren't so much afraid of a civil war as they are of a government that would be unfriendly to us. From the way they've let the warlords take Afghanistan over, I would say infighting doesn't concern the junta at all.
