The Bush/Cheney 2004 Club is throwing an afternoon of hors d'oeuvres and cocktails at the price of $40 per person. Among the republican celeberati expected to attend are LA County Board Supervisor Michael Antonovich and Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson. When we called for more information, we asked what if Bush doesn't win?


Woman Who Answered the Phone: "There's no such thing as he's not going to win."

Us: "But will there still be a party?"

WWAtP: "I understand what you are trying to say, and the party will go on. But there's no doubt he will win."

Us: "What will the party be called if he doesn't win?"

WWAtP: "What do you suggest we call the party? A loser party? Who are you? Where are you calling from? What is your name?"


We hung up the phone giggling.
