To my fellow DUers and our wonderful handsome and/or beautiful mods ...
I want to express my appreciation to Prolietariet and to our mods. Prolieteriat, when allowed to run for a while by our wonderful mods, showed us that beyond a doubt, whether we support Dean, Clark, Kerry, Kucinich, Sharpton, Lieberman, Bruan, Gephardt, Graham, or Edwards, we are not each other's enemies.

It pleased me to no end to see us join ranks and let this individual know our displeasure at the absurdity of Republican bullshit, like ugly on a Bush we were and all I can say, in two parts, is:

WHOO-HOOOO!!!!! :toast:

and

Check out my thread about how to make this thing I wrote about political.

Peace and love to you all.

4. Amen; form someone who really believes in the words and
actions of Christ.

I am still angry at him for representing himself as a follower of Christ; but, I must somehow forgive.

5. Thanks Proletariat!
For serving up more silly, easily rejected tripe. Your post helps us to sharpen our rhetorical skills and reaffirms how utterly bankrupt the "pro-Bush" positions really are.

I just wish we could preserve these in our own version of the "Hate Mailbag"...they really are educational for new posters to see how silly the Bushbots arguements (or lack thereof) are.

6. We were on that boy like white on rice ...
and there was no division, no infighting, attaboys to all and no shit, we have to remember that our common enemy IS our common enemy and our internecine squabbles are merely matters of details. All of us are committed to making the world better and stopping the rape and plunder and possible extinction of our nation and our system of government.

Bravo, DUers. Bravo!

8. someone posting a thread that
sounded remarkably ... er ... Republican.

The mods must've removed the offending thread but it was something like ... Come on, aren't you glad that Saddam is out and Odie and Coosie?

And then, to defend it, resorted to every known Whistle-ass talking point.

It was pleasant. The thread went from 0 posts to 150 in about 15 minutes.

9. Thanks Pepperbelly you help me keep my mind open
You are helping me learn to be more open minded about Democrats who I deem to be "not left enough." And that some of them are more then worthy of my respect and appreciation.

We are on the same side and must learn to see our difference as a strength, and not sink into the closed mind of demanding that all on our side think the same thing about every issue.

"Progress not perfection" as a political goal.

10. Thanks, Pepperbelly.
Sorry I missed that.

Hey Roughsatori, I think it's a safe bet that most of us are pretty left of center. I know I am. But I am for a candidate (a particular candidate mind you) that *appears to be much more centrist than he actually is* because I think that that candidate can get a lot more done for us liberals than one who will be branded square in the forehead w/ the letter 'L'. If they can marginalize us, they can render us ineffective. I think a moderate appearing candidate can pull more dems into congress as well.

In the end, I'm for any dem left on the stage.

Peace.

12. between you and me and the web ...
I think that people might be surprised at how progressive Wesley really is. Shocked even. He could well be the one with the most progressive ideas of all of them.

I do not know how old you are but I am old as dirt and I can remember when the Beatles first came over. Brian Epstein had the boys all cleaned and scrubbed and dressed in suits and ties, a far cry from the way the boys really were, with leather and boots and drugs and sex and ... you know. But Brian fixed them up and the parents of the good old USA, while alarmed, let it by because Brian had them looking so cute and cuddly and adorable.

What came next ... well, it's history.

That might be a good metaphor for Wesley. The man is far from a troglydite. Very far.
