Doctors under 45, check in and line up in draft order...
I'm in my 30's, boarded family practice (medium-high military priority), absolutely no ability to claim indispensibility at my current position (federal service).

I guess I'll already be on the ground when you get your draft notice.

Maybe I'll find the WMD's.

The peasants will greet us with flowers and they name their town squares after George Bush.

4. Maybe they won't need you
Do you have experience treating traumatic amputations? Blasted out eye sockets? Traumatic brain injuries?

I know the poor men and women injured over there need compassionate physicians, but I hope you don't have to go and see those kind of horrors.

7. Question
My b-i-l is an ER doctor and I think he's in his early thirties. If he were sent to Iraq or Walter Reed, who would replace him at his current job? Can they bring doctors and nurses from India or the Philippines to fill in?

8. I'd bet they would.
I'm not in the medical profession, but every time my dad goes in the hospital, I meet some of his nurses, and there are always foreign-born nurses among his care-givers. Professions which need hands-on work, such as nurses, carpenters, etc., can be "inshored" by our govt. bringing in foreigners to this country.

9. Wasn't sure
About the legality. I know he wants to outsource a lot of middle and upper-middle class jobs, and let Mexicans come over and take " the jobs Americans don't want to perform," but I wondered if there were laws preventing the " insourcing " of medical jobs. I guess the medical groups would save a lot of money, but I think it would destroy my b-i-l because they depend on a big salary to pay for an expensive house, private schools, various vehicles, etc.
