Sinclair's stock has lost $90 MILLION in value in the past 10 days
According to Media Matters: http://mediamatters.org/items/200410190004

""We are not partisan. We are investors," Glickenhaus explained today. "Sinclair's decision has caused harm to the value of our investment in Sinclair. We believe Sinclair must give equal time to an opposing point of view. Otherwise the company is placing its future and the value of our investment in jeopardy, by putting the renewal of its FCC licenses at risk, alienating local advertisers, and opening itself up to libel suits against the company."

Since Sinclair's decision to air Stolen Honor became public on October 9, the company's stock has fallen nearly 13 percent, as of the close of the market yesterday, October 18, wiping out nearly $90 million in shareholder value."

5. Ah, these guys are religious zealots; they're not going to care that...

...they're destroying their own company to make a point. I suppose I'd have to dump the stock based on just objective assesment of their board and officers.

Naturally, I'd be dumping their stock to send them a message about their politics, too.

8. Mark Hyman will be portraying himself/Sinclair as righteous victims soon
I expect Mark Hyman to start portraying him and Sinclair as victims of a vicious Kerry political effort to stifle the truth.

38. No doubt they will, but Kerry can always do as Bush does
look up and down and all around as people speak for him, then deny he agrees with the tactics or the message. Bush mostly lets his minions to the smearing then seems to forget them even when they're still on stage with him.

Kerry's playing it smart, but sometimes I do wish he'd play a bit rougher. He has SO much unused dirt on Bush, probably more than even we can glean. It would be lovely to hear some of it hit the airwaves before Nov.2. Fair play be damned, in this day and age fair play will get you left behind, at least in Bush's demographic. They want dirt and loads of it, big mucky piles of it to fertilize their fields.

If (God forbid) Bush wins and Sinclair gets a no-bid contract to install television services in Iraq and to the overseas troops.....say for around $90 million or so?

why Sinclair's partisan attempt to influence the election should not result in their license being lifted BEFORE the showing of the film.

10. But the execs knew this was coming and did a big sell
off earlier this year when the price was around $14. Be vigilant do not let these crooks go free -- it is important to maintain a boycott of their advertisers after the "program" . The sinclairites/advertisers have funded bushco to the tune of $Millions

Take P&G for example: $500K (excluding their wifes/"HOMEMAKERS")

25. The Extra Bonus In All Of This
is that advertisers may be learning they don't want to tick off "progressives" any more. They've been so focused on the Rw's for so long that they seemed to forget that we have more $ not to be spent on their products, should we choose, than their little backwater freepers.

Those bastards will really feel the heat at 6.10. Under 6, I read a rumor that that alone will scare off investors and advertisers, make it into a tailspin.
