Sinclair - Josh Marshall wants lists of Local Advertisers

Do you live in a Sinclair media market? (Check here to find out.)

If so, watch tonight's evening newscast and write down a list of the advertisers (especially the local ones) who have commercials running during the broadcast.

Write up a list, as brief, clear and concise as possible, including the names of the advertisers and the time and date of the program you watched them on. Of course, include the name of the affiliate and the city too. Then send them into us. Make the Subject heading "ADVERTS."

1. I can't watch it--don't get it because I do not pay the cable company

for local channels, but I went to Sinclair operated WGME web site (Portland, Maine) and clicked on to their community advertisers. It is a PDF and as sloooooowwwwwww as molasses. I tried three time already-goes for more than a half hour and then still do not get the first page-it is just not coming up. I wonder if those local advertisers know that the money they are paying to Sinclair to advertise their business, is not even accessible due to the inept managing of the web site.

I did write to Dunkin Donuts which is advertised on their home page.

No answer from them, but I will be sure to boycott it or tell friends to boycott it.
