CNN story title last night: Osama bin Laden in Iran
We didn't see the story because we changed the channel, but that headline sure got our attention.

Excuse to go into Iran, huh? Even if Bush loses the election, he can attack by Christmas...

2. I'm still pissed!!!
How can Bush say Bin Ladin is not a top priority?
Remember the video that shows Osama laughing at the idea of killing three thousand of our countrymen??
He laughed at that!!!!!!!!!!
Now Bush says he's not that important???
I'm sitting here totally blown away. I just cant believe it.

Kerry should make it perfectly clear that finding Bin ladin will be a top priority of his war on terror. Say something like No one laughs at dead americans and lives!

3. That's bad advice to Kerry.
There's a reasonable chance that bin ladin is the "October surprise". No sense in setting the stage for Rove's play, if that's the case.

4. Who is this guy?
Dr, Moriarty? The Merciless Ming? The greatest criminal mastermind the world has ever seen?

Are we incapable of catching him or is he just more valuable as a randomly referred-to boogeyman?

I strongly suspect that the official line is #2.

5. "is he just more valuable as a randomly referred-to boogeyman"
Ahhhhh, you are enlightened, my friend.

Same thing as the abortion wedge issue. Look, they control all 3 branches of the gubmint, so go ahead and pass a law banning it.

But see, then it wouldn't be a dividing issue!

They learned their lesson by parading Hussein around, for a lousy one-week bump in approval ratings. Better to have your bogeyman out there scaring folks than actually catchin' 'em.
