And last night Tweety went on and on...
.. 'bout how Ch* slapped Edwards around. What is his deal? 'Course he did seem to give Ed Rogers a hard time when he was spinning.

10. I couldn't believe it!
He went on and on about Cheney's line about "not meeting" Edwards and kept talking about what a great moment it was - even though - as he acknowledge it was a lie.

My question - Is Tweety on drugs?

2. A tweety bird in hand is worth two for the Bush...
or at least that must be his thinking. I can't believe what a cheesy shyster this guy has become. He's always been a miserable asshole, but at least he used to be consistent...

American of all. He really doesn't care how the election turns out. It won't affect him personally so it doesn't matter. I can't imagine any other excuse for his demeanor. He is so biased one way or the other no middle of the road. Maybe he thinks he is being unbiased, but he isn't. He is just swerving all over the road like a drunk.

4. With Matthews it's bullshit in bullshit out.
He's the type of guy whose been an ass kissing, good boy, hall monitor type his whole life. The type of kid teachers love.
So he has a vested interest in the "status quo."
For him to acknowlege that Cheyney is complete bullshit would recquire him to realize that a whole lot of people who he spent his life sucking up to are complete bullshit. Which would then force himeslef to admit that he is complete bullshit.
And that isn't going to happen.
He as has been and always will be a douche bag. Perhaps the quintessential example of douchebagism in the American media to me. But then for him dochebagism is as quintessentially American as apple pie.

5. yeah
What's stunning is that he gave Cheney a total pass on his lies and just BEAMED about his 'performance'.

Personally, I find it disgusting that an elected official in a high position would lie and deceive and distort, especially when the lies are so easily disproven. Matthews, as a political journalist, surely knew that so much of the spew was bogus - but that obviously didn't matter.

6. He Asked A Guest If He Thought Cheney's Lie "Works"....
the one about never having met Edwards before...

In other words the truth isn't important, it's just whether or not the lies work for you...If they do...great...

I think MSNBC made a calculation that they would try to out fox fox this time since there would be more republican viewers. They all whored together. I didn't hear Ron Reagan's comments but he's usually honest.

But all the others chimed in with how great Cheney was...LOL

7. See related article on LBN about corporate tax cuts just passed by Congres
GE was one of the big winners. Any doubts about why MSNBC shills for Republicans?

8. James Wolcott on Tweety's debate coverage:
In the closing statement of the vice presidential debate, Dick Cheney unveiled the terrifying prospect of terrorists smuggling nuclear weapons into major American cities inside Meals on Wheels wagons. This struck me as a dubious ploy to justify Cheney's vote decades earlier against providing sustenance to seniors and the infirm, but it was enough to satisfy Chris Matthews on MSNBC to the edge of wetness. Matthews, hopped up on Cheetos and Nehi orange, crowned Cheney the victor in the debate and within ten seconds of his fight-night wrapup was tossing out conspiracy theories as to why the liberal press would be too chicken to acknowledge that Cheney had crushed his opponent…
