Did anyone else notice that on the split-screen Bush appeared higher...

than Kerry?

I saw it last night, and it appeared that Bush and his podium appeared more higher than Kerry's.

Many experts say that height has some influence in how a person votes.

This is probably just a coincidence, or is there something going on that we should all know about?

1. I think the networks wanted to compensate for the height difference.

3. It's because he is shorter

On the split screen, they showed him higher in the picture, so he looked the same height as Kerry. Of course, since the podiums were the same height, the shift resulted in Bush's podium looking higher.

4. I read here last night, that since Kerry was taller, they had to

make them the same height. Which is why you saw *'s timer thingy, and you couldn't see Kerry's.

No "coincidence", the cameras were run by Faux. They were so worried about the height difference, they made the tops of their heads at the same height, and shot Chimpy CLOSER UP. I was pissed. Can't fucking Faux take a measuring tape and make the cameras an equal distance from the podiums??!! Oh... uh... that would be fair... nevermind.

8. i noticed

that shrubs podium looked higher on the split screen and also that his mic was wee compared to Kerry's but he's a bit shorter too.

7. They lined

up the heads, not the podiums. I noticed that, too. If they had lined up the podiums they would have cut off Kerry's head or Bush's chin would have been at the bottom of the screen. I would have liked to have seem some height differentiation though.
