Looks like crappy white balance in the photo to me - Both Kerry and Shrub's shirts have a weird blueish tint. Kerry was almost certainly wearing some makeup which probably showed up a bit more due to the weird coloring of the pic.

When Tom Delay, the House Leader, has the power to even threaten Senators, you know that some of them will cave in. John evidently isn't as brave as we once thought. I guess Bush has him on a leash along with his daughters (they were sitting next to each other in the debate).

McCain still has a good heart in some ways. He is still not willing to go with some right-wing nuts in Arizona who want to require ID tags for immigrants who want health or social benefits.

However, I think this example will show that McCain completely sold his soul to the GOP earlier this year.

Remember in February or March when McCain said that he was absolutely against the Swiftboat Ads? Funny how time changes. When asked about the Ad on Democracy Now just two days ago, McCain says that he is against 527s. He didn't even choose to acknowledge or confirm the earlier contempt he had for Swiftboat Ads.

If you ever had any hopes of his left-wing-type credibility, say adios to that.
