I almost yelled into the phone at the Republican recruiter
who called me this evening.

First of all, I had JUST that second walked in the door at 7pm, after spending 6 of the last 8 hours on the road, with only a banana and a coke all day...and I HATE driving!

As I walk in the door, my husband hands me the phone and says its the Democrats calling (I work with the local Democratic Party).

I pick up the phone and I hear this guy saying that they were informed that I might like to volunteer to help Bush.

What? I said, flabbergasted, and almost laughing. I don't know where you got my number, but the only thing I'll help Bush with is leaving office.
This guy repeats that I was on a list of potential Bush supporters, and trys asking me to volunteer again.
I laughed and said that I am the Democratic Committee Person for my voting district, and I've been spending the last several months intensively trying to get Bush OUT OF OFFICE.
He tries saying something about people voting not FOR Kerry, but against Bush, and he's trying to have a discussion with me now.
I started to get peeved...hungry, had to go to the bathroom, very tired...and I said at first nicely....Obviously you and I are of very different and very firm opinions....he tried to say something else and I heard my voice rise as I said I STARTED MY WORK ON GETTING BUSH OUT OF OFFICE A YEAR AGO, AND I WANT HIM OUT BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE, AND I THINK THAT MEANS SHOULD BE IMPEACHMENT.
He muttered something in response and we hung up.
Sheesh!
Where are they pulling names from? The phone book? I've been a registered Democrat for 27 years.
Do the Repubs have so much volunteer staff that some of them call Dems?
On a good note, on the part of my trip between York and Gettysburg, down Rte 30, I counted 9 Kerry signs and 8 Bush. Considering Wubyas yard signs are FREE here in York and easy to get, and we have had considerable difficulty getting Kerry signs to York until last week and they must be paid for, I'd overweight the Kerry signs. So that was lovely!

1. Could some butt munch
have given your name and number to them in an attempt to be witty or piss you off? They are bold and somewhat tenacious, but that's all I'll give them.

3. Tell your neighbors Eisenhower's son endorsed Kerry.
Retired Brig. Gen. John Eisenhower announced today that he was leaving the Republican Party after 50 years, going independent and voting for Kerry.

4. They have been sending my boss invitations to * dinners and
fundraisers for the past year and we normally we would just trash them, but lately, we have been completing their moronic polls by adding comments and we have been stuffing the postage paid return envelopes full of Kerry materials.

They constantly call and I just leave them on hold until they hang up. The GOP fund raising efforts waste more money than I ever hope to have in a lifetime.

8. and I forgot to mention that the "autographed" photos of our
clown in chief that are sent with the invitations (solicitations for money) have found a home on the office dart board.

Recycling is very important to every good liberal! ;-)

I don't play those games, but if Wubya's face was on the balloon, they would have emptied my purse!

BUSH FLIES SAUDI RACEHORSE OWNER WITH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THE 9-11 ATTACK OUT OF THE COUNTRY

Prince Ahmed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, owner of War Emblem (who won the first two of three Triple Crown races in 2002) was at the top of the list of a group of well-connected Saudis who left the country from Lexington, KY in a luxurious customized 727 shortly after 9-11. According to one of bin Laden’s top operatives, Aziz knew well beforehand that a major attack was to take place in the US on 9-11. And the Bush administration let the bastard fly the coop. The very fact that a couple of hundred Saudis were flying around within the US to central pickup points like Lexington, while US citizens were prohibited from flying from Minneapolis to Chicago is totally outrageous.

On March 30, 2002, Al Qaeda operative Abu Zubaydah was captured in Pakistan and questioned by two teams of intelligence agents. One of the teams consisted of Arab Americans posing as Saudi agents, who hoped to scare Zubaydah into thinking he would be turned over to the Saudis for the usual torture and beheading. Far from being intimidated, Zubaydah was relieved, and told them that a call to Prince Ahmed would explain all—and he knew all the phone numbers from memory. He also told them to call Prince Sultan bin Faisal bin Turki al-Saud and Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Saud al-Kabir, members of the House of Saud related to King Fahd.

He said that several years earlier the royal family had made a deal with Al Qaeda in which the House of Saud would aid them as long as they kept terrorism out of Saudi Arabia. The interrogators insisted that 9-11 changed everything—the House of Saud would not stand behind them after that.

Zubaydah said that 9-11 changed nothing, because Ahmed and the others knew beforehand that an attack was scheduled for America that day. They didn’t know exactly what it would be, and they didn’t want to know. Bin Laden knew the Saudis couldn’t stop it without the specifics, and also that they couldn’t turn on him without disclosing their foreknowledge.

Bush helped Ahmed leave the country right after 9-11, unmolested until June 22, 2002, when he supposedly died of a heart attack in his sleep. On June 23, Prince Sultan died in a car wreck. On July 30, Prince Fahd died in the desert of thirst. None was older than 43, and all are beyond questioning now. That these three were named by Zubaydah and then died young a couple of months later is extremely suspicious.

DELIBERATELY FACILITATING THE MOVEMENT OF PEOPLE WHO KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT 9-11 OUT OF THE COUNTRY BEFORE THEY COULD BE QUESTIONED MAKES THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ACCESSORIES AFTER THE FACT. REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!

12. Thanks, I will add that to my stack of flyers I send to them!
I put about 20 of the flyers with the photo of Kerry and John Lennon in the last envelope.

I must admit, it is an odd feeling of satisfaction I get every time I return their answered polls and use their postage prepaid envelopes!

(This is also the technique I use when I get other solications for credit cards and the like. I just repack the contents of the envelope they sent to me in the "provided for my convenience" postage, prepaid envelope and return it to them. Let them worry about clogging up their landfills.)

7. Mixed up call lists or something more sinister
I've been hounded by Repubs. The call me, send me junk mail, and come to my door. It's pretty apparent to me that I ended up on their list. My question is why? I'm a registered Democrat. Why would they waste their time? I've worked the phones for the Democrats and don't ever recall trying to hound a registered Repub into working for the Democratic Party. Something strange is going on.

11. My biz partner and I recently incorporated,
and get calls from "Congressman Reynolds' office", inviting us to attend a "dinner with President Asterisk", every other day. I'm starting to think it would be worth the $2000 /plate fundraiser and a lengthy federal prison term just to score a real good one for the Biotic Baking Brigade! :)

them on hold forever. You should start getting envelopes full of literature complete with a photo of * & pickles!

I guess they are using the information on new small businesses from all of the Secretary of State's offices. GOP thinks every small business owner wants to grow up to be a huge corporation.

GOP is a pyramid scam.
