Didn't Saddam Comply with weapons inspectors

before the invasion? Didn't Bush kick out the weapons inspectors so he could invade? I know Kerry and Edwards both have said that Saddam was not complying, but I thought they said that IF he didn't comply, which he eventually did.

The reason I ask is I have a anti-war voter who I'm trying to prove to that Kerry and Edwards only supported an invasion if Saddam didn't comply, which he eventually did.

they were only slightly overrange only without the payload. Even so, Saddam destroyed them as instructed.

The only weapons they were found to have in violation of restrictions were those missiles that possibly could go a little farther than allowed and I recall that they tested and destroyed quite a few of them right before the invasion, but this process was disrupted when Bushco told the U.N. inspectors to leave. The Iraqis were cooperating with the U.N. to destroy the weapons.
