Matcom, tell it like it is! It is true too, I had an aunt who voted for a president a few years ago--his anti-small business stance ruined her and her husband. His policies DIRECTLY destroyed their small business and put dozens of people out of work as well as ruining them financially. To this day she is suffering financially. But, whenever she cries about it--my first thought is always--well why did you vote for ---(I won't name this person here--it was some years ago). I feel bad that I am not more sympathetic--but sometimes people make bad choices and they pay for them. BTW--this aunt lives in Ohio. I certainly hope she makes a good decision his year. I'm still reluctant, but I did read a book called Smart Mobs (not to be confused with flash mobs) that goes a little bit into game theory and how to get a system of cooperation going. Basically the most effective rules-based way they found of accomplishing that is to have agents enact a tit-for-tat system, where you reciprocate both reward and punishment. If these people learned what it was like to not be cooperated with, they might learn a few things about how much they depend on it. It wouldn't necessarily be a completely selfish thing, because you're trying to get these people to cooperate with everyone, not just you, which has repercussions all over the world.
