3. They Might Be Planning Something...
...that might make the polling places difficult or dangerous to get to.

2. Because when the diebold vote is disputed
And it will be, They'll have some paper to fall back on. Dis-proportionately rethuglican paper.

Once the e-vote is cast, it's legitimacy will forever be suspect.

I would HIGHLY recommend Voting absentee.

4. The repugs have the fix on
and it involves a large count for B* in absentee balloting.
In many states the bipartisan tracking of these ballots is non-existent.
My bet is that in precincts that do not track the ballots from the post office to the actual counting table we will see a huge percentage going to the shrub. In some of these precincts political operators are allowed to collect the ballots, in such places as care centers, and deliver them to county offices without any scrutiny.

7. This could work either way
A way to disenfranchise voters, or

If they think you are GOP, a way to claim votes BECAUSE they are on paper and can be recounted, whereas the touch screens cannot. So they flip the scenario and claim the Dems are hacking the election.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them work both sides of this problem at once.

Does anyone know if this is predominantly happening in areas with a high percentage of touch screens?

1. Vote, large voter turnout needed. Overwhelm any hacking.

2. If you have the option, hand deliver your ballot to the auditors office. No mail. Repeat, no mail.

6. They Want To Lock In The Vote In Case Of A Terra Attack
They know that if there is a domestic terror attack before the election they could be in serious trouble. Their entire campaign (when not smearing Kerry) is based on how well they have been protecting us and fighting the ‘war on terra’. An attack before the election would probably shave off enough voters previously leaning Boosh to swing the election decisively to Kerry.

What do you think the FBI's '04 Threat Task Force’ is about. I feel the terror threat in October is no greater than in September or November. They are simply going into prevent defense to protect the election for Boosh.
