So, if you learned that you could not vote in your neighbour this fall....
But the government was telling you that a "Imperfect Election was better than NO election".....

would you go ape-shit?
Or would you just go back to watching the "Reality Teee-Veee"?

And they think the Iraqis are going to be OK with this?

Yeah, they probably do.....

1. Rumsfeld's proposal isn't even a cheap imitation of democracy.
He plans to manipulate the elections so that any opposition to the Bush administration is excluded.

Restricted popular vote is not democracy. I am shocked that ANYONE is buying this.

2. I think they"re "trying it out"
so that people hear "imperfect is better than none" until they believe of OUR election as well. With all the extra security sure to be at the polls (esp in blue areas) per the "October Plan", this could get really unpleasant.

(.....picturing armed guards driving away with the voting machines, "for their protection against tampering, of course")

:scared: ,:tinfoilhat: ?

5. Seeing how it "plays on the road" before bringing it to Broadway?

Yeah, I could see that.
I could see them declaring that there are "discrepancies" with the vote in certain areas, and "Well, we'll just drop those results, wouldn't have changed anything anyway..."

Yeah, keep telling The Lie until it becomes truth...

That's MY "talking point" for today. Rumsferatu is a dumb-ass and he's getting ready to smack the hornet's nest if he thinks this is gonna go over in Iraq...

3. They US is going to make sure their own stooge gets in. What
better way to not bother hiding votes than to not even have vcting in areas that know what's going on and want Iraqi representation, not US representation.

And that's the story now until at least Nov 3. If * gets back in it will be a nightmare for everyone involved over there - including US soldiers.

4. I think the Iraqis have MUCH more fight in them than the Imperial
Subjects of Amerika.

When Crunch Tme comes, the vast majority will be Sturmtruppen and Good Germans.

Amerika is no longer "land of the free" and to be truthful, we probably haven't been for at least a decade, just waiting for the Dictator to come along and take it from us like the candy-from-a-baby ease the Busheviks are displaying.
