"Iraq Watch" on C-SPAN (now- 7:45ish EST)
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 09:48 PM by party_line
I just tuned in. Inslee's up but they are taking turns.

Part of my e-mail from Inslee's office:
As the number of U.S. servicemen killed in Iraq unfortunately surpasses 1,000, I thought you may be interested to know that I will be speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives tonight as a part of regular Iraq Watch discussions.

I am expecting the "Iraq Watch" hour to start at approximately 7pm PST. I apologize for not being able to give a more exact time of this discussion. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict the House schedule, as changes to the schedule occur throughout the day.

The American people remain concerned about the United States' policy in Iraq, as well as the false intelligence used to justify our preemptive invasion of this nation. To address and highlight these problems, my Congressional colleagues and I hold weekly public "Iraq Watch" discussions on the House floor. The purpose of Iraq Watch is to examine and evaluate the United States' past and future policy in Iraq. The group will continue to scrutinize the intelligence used to justify the war, and encourage President Bush to include our allies in the rebuilding of Iraq.

1. Blasting Halliburton contracts and
listing repubs that are now making statements of dissent on the war.

That was Rep Delahunt.

Inslee tried to quote Lugar but was stopped on procedural rule that Senator can't be MENTIONED on House floor. What an odd rule!
