Weird Question re involvment in campaigns
Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum...I'm quasi-new (don't hang me). I was wondering if anyone knew how involved a non-U.S. citizen (but U.S. permanent resident with lawful green card) can get in a political campaign.

Basically, I would love to work on behalf of the K/E campaign, but I am afraid to do it, since I am not 100% familiar with U.S. election laws. God forbid I cause a scandal for the K/E campaign!

1. You can volunteer
It's not a problem. Just start off at johnkerry.com and clickety clickety away until you find contact information for an office near you!

The only thing you can't do is vote, and contribute money.

3. Until the Patriot Act under the direction of Generalissimo Ashcroft
slams it's big ugly fist down on I-90 holders, a permanent resident can do anything in a campaign that a citizen can do except actually vote. Don't let anyone intimidate you. No one has a right to ask about your status, by the way, and you aren't obligated to tell them either. It's still a free country. Report for duty, my friend.
