Dubya's Honorary Discharge

See a couple of posters have used this term. That pretty much describes the discharge that Dubya received from the TANG. Much as a person dumber than a hundred chickens can receive an honorary college degree because of things they have achieved that had little bearing on their education, or even intelligence, Bush got an "Honorary Discharge" because of who his daddy is. I will, and I hope everyone else will, now use that term every time I am in a discussion about Dubya's service.

I kind of like the idea, BTW. Bush never had to work for anything in his life, so anything that's come his way has been "honorary."

What I said (I'm going slow here) was in reference to the discharge that DUBYA received. I was not referring to your Honorable Discharge nor to MINE.

for the East Coasters that still have jobs. I think we all, especially those of us that have Honorable Discharges, should use this term to differentiate between what we earned and what Dubya was given.

for the left coast. I'm hoping that people when discussing the discharge Dubya received will refer it as an "Honorary Discharge" rather than Honorable Discharge.

16. I got a

General Discharge under Honorable Conditions. I went AWOL about 8 times. I also did 90 days in the Stockade. I think that I should have recieved a General Discharge, period. Who cares? Nobody that I know of.

You are upfront about what you received and why. That's good enough for me. Bush's handlers do all in their power to cover up the nature of Dubyas service and try to blow off any criticism with "He received and Honorable Discharge". Thus "Honorary Discharge" because he got the highest level of discharge while not honoring his commitment.
