Source tells me Novak has been subpoenaed in Plame investigation
If that's the case, the investigation really could be close to concluding. I wonder if he'll testify or risk being held in contempt?

Is there a link to your sources?

Would love for something anything to come down the pike regarding this prior to the election.

6. It looks like indictments
will come before the elections. That would raise the possibility of one to three pardons, based on the first round of expected charges. But I don't think Bush will do that.

There is no way any case will go to trial before November. However, information will begin to become public .... leaks can be okay when they don't out a CIA operative .... and it will hurt the administration. The VP's office is going to be seriously damaged.

Add to this that the GJ has looked at Air Force One communications records .... and George W. has an outside attorney .... and it seems clear that Bush will have to focus blame on the VP's office. Wilson noted this theme in his book.

7. wow, I hope it's true
But, Bush could always wait until November 3rd to start pardoning if indictments come down in September or October. I'm sure a pre-election pardon would be the proverbial Kiss of Death to his re-election chances.

17. Bush I pardoned a bunch of people in Iran-Contra before trials....
to make sure they wouldn't tie him to Iran-Contra......one of them is on record saying if he went down, Bush I would go too

get away with this or any of their other crimes. Can a president pardon someone if he is a co-indictee in the crime? Can he pardon himself?

These guys have to pay for their crimes. :grr: :nuke: :argh:

11. the timing of a pardon
has nothing to do with the timing of indictments. Bush could pardon anybody involved TODAY.
