Where does it say that a president must be born in this country?
I think Arnold is only agreeing to campaign with Bush because he wants to be President himself. If Shrubbie gets 4 more years, he'll repeal the law stating a president must be born in this country and Arnie will run is '08. Cheney will be too old, anyway.

1. It's not a law
it's in the constitution. Only a constitutional amendmnent would allow Arnold to run for President.

8. In the Constitution because so many people were from England...
that we did not want to become a colony again.
Only two qualification to be the prez: 35yo Born in the USA!

BUT: it doesn't hurt to be real rich and born into a famous family!
(every once in a while a General or two makes it from nowhere)

12. There's actually a third requirement -
the candidate must have been a US resident for 14 years.

6. Talk about serendipity...
Here I typed a quick bit of silliness to try and be the first responder, and you use the very same adjective...

Yep. Parallel development sorta proves something.

4. That pesky 'ol Constitution...
One of the reasons for it was to make sure that Hamilton couldn't run. Those Founding Fathers were sharp cats...

7. Actually
In the Constitution it is written that "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President..." Hamilton was eligible to be President.

Not knowing the answer to this question really scares the hell out me about some Americans!

13. I hope the original poster will not take this personally, but
even being a product of multiple public schools as we moved year-to-year across the country, I can't imagine that most of my cohort would not have learned the answer to this question from history, political science, and other similar courses in high school.

I really wonder what IS being taught in high school, besides how to appear to know some very limited content from a standardized test to suit the Bushie's* "all children left behind" initiative.

Sign me very sad.....

14. Cheney too old?
Contrary to appearances, Cheney is only about 5 years older than Smirk. Of course his heart is much older than that.
