this letter appeared in our local paper today. i constantly wonder how these people can get through daily life in such a state of paranoia. and i can't help but picture spittle flying everywhere when he typed it.

it works great as a comedy piece though, if you can look past the scary fact that he'd completely serious

‘Doonesbury' is not fit for the Mail

Please explain the basis of the Daily Mail being called the "conservative" paper and the Gazette the liberal one?
The Gazette is anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-conservative and basically anti-American.

But the Daily Mail runs Garry Trudeau's "Doonesbury" cartoons for our kids to read. They are anti-Bush and anti-American, and spew his poison for our kids to read while young and innocent.

They believe all he writes, growing up anti-American and liberal Democrats and seeing no harm in communism. They will believe that this is what America stands for.

Explain why a "conservative" paper would promote a writer who can't stand the word "conservative" and sees no harm in Communism or liberalism?

I think you should either drop Trudeau from your paper or call yourself the Gazette.

1. No need for free speech in his World
Perhaps he will understand Free Market. If the paper sells more copies because Doonesbury is in the paper, its a good decision.

and Progressives? And that a majority of Americans, even most moderate Republicans, would never call Democrats communists? And that a majority will vote for Kerry, a Democrat in November?

So, that idiot is calling the majority of the country communists?

BWAHAHAHAHA...They are so way out there. I hope he is submitting more of that ignorant sh*t to his paper. People should know how far off those extreme Bush supporters are.

Hey Freepers...get back on your medication...come November, you'll really need it...

4. It's good to be reminded
That the poisonous desire to silence all who disagree is alive and well in the Conservative movement.
