Unbelieveable...CNN cuts away from a discussion of the possibility
of platform fights at the Republican convention concerning gay rights and abortion...What breaking news story forces CNN to leave this discussion?

Candy Crowley breathlessly announces that Michael Jackson and his entourage have emerged from his bus after, apparently, finishing lunch.

Unbelieveable...utterly unbelieveable. Only in America.

7. It's a vicious circle
People want to hear about those things, because they were told they SHOULD want to hear about those things.

Like the Subgenii say: People will pay to know what they REALLY think.

3. Sadly, they are only feeding the pigs what they want.
I've given up completely on American media.

Every cable news channel on my TV is blocked and I don't read American papers. It's joke.

11. Ditto to giving up on American media.....
That includes my local news stations also, all they do is repeat what the national news says. I just come to DU and get all the news I need.

8. CNN
I was concerned that hurricane thing in Florida, the voting thing and the Iraq story would preempt the latest developments in the Peterson/Kobe/Jackson news continuum. But, with our media on the job, I have no fear. Can people really want to hear about these things ALL the time?

I'll get an email out to her right away.

Maybe she needs to go to jail with MIchael.
