1. They say they have it, tell them to show you
And you have to start a thread asking for help with such an obvious question? I wonder why.

2. The dumbass showed up to have his teeth fixed on the govt tab
that didn't prove he served out his full term.

If anything it makes him look like the "user" he is...

Bush was in AL a few times, but he didn't serve out his full term...he is still AWOL.

3. That only proves he went to the dentist.
(On the government's dime, I might add.)

The issue isn't whether he was physically in Alabama at the time. It whether or not he showed up for guard duty. And there is absolutely no proof that he did. Garry Trudeau has been offering $10,000 to anyone willing to claim they saw Bush on base in Alabama. So far, no takers. You'd think he's get at least a few cranks.

4. Ask your right wing nutjob this: does having one dental checkup
in two fucking years constitute serving your country?

Bush's Military Records Fail to Dispel AWOL Charges
Fri Jul 23, 2004 07:15 PM ET

By Adam Entous
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Some of President Bush's missing Air National Guard records during the Vietnam War years, previously said to be destroyed, turned up on Friday but offered no new evidence to dispel charges by Democrats that he was absent without leave.

---snip--

The documents released on Friday by the Pentagon included two faded computerized payroll sheets showing Bush was not paid during the latter part of 1972 and offer no evidence to place Bush in Alabama during the latter part of 1972.

-------------------

also ask the rightwing nutjob -- why aren't there any pics of bush* with his buddies in Alabama. Kerry has pics of him from Viet Nam, plus has members of his crew coming forward -- where are bush*'s buddies stepping forward and saying "Hey - I saw dubya in Alabama"

8. Excellent point! GIs are notorious for taking pictures of EVERYTHING
*cough* Abu Graib *cough* :P

I know that during my time in the service, I must have taken about 300 or 400 rolls of film, and I STILL have the negatives. I could probably provide "proof" that 1000 people or more served with me at some point, just from photos taken at BBQs, around the workplace, at sporting events, around the dorm, while sightseeing, etc. etc.

Not one freaking picture of him in Alabama?

Listen: every GI had a camera. EVERY FUCKING GI OWNS A CAMERA. If the Nikon F3 at the time was $500 on the local economy, you could get it for $300 at the PX, so everybody had nice, new, quality cameras.

If there are no pictures of him, HE WASN'T FUCKING THERE.

6. This Isn't a Valid Argument for Your Case
but I love using it anyway: John Kerry received a Silver Star for valor in Vietnam; all we can show regarding * is that he received a silver amalgam.

7. So he made it to one dentist appointment
Big deal. That shows he used his medical benefits (taxpayer provided for a rich kid). Does not show he did any of his required service.

Not one member of the unit he was assigned to can recall ever meeting or even seeing him. Not one! And at least a couple of them were actively looking for him when they heard he was transferring into the unit. Now, since there were only about 30 pilots in that unit, chances are pretty good he wasn't just lost in the crowd.

A rich party boy flyer in a small unit and no one remembers ever meeting him or seeing him on duty? A prominent nationally syndicated cartoonist who happened to attend college with bush* offers $10,000 to anyone who can prove he served his required duty in AL and no one comes forward with the information to claim the prize? Only one explanation for it: the entire unit, to a man, must suffer from amnesia. Yeah, right. Or maybe there is a second reason. Not one of them remembers bush* and claims the $10,000 because he was not where he was ordered to be when he was ordered to be there.

When he failed to show up for a required physical, he went over the wall. Even if he had shown up for duty every day in AL, not showing up for that physical was enough in itself to make him AWOL. He was the property of the Guard during that time, he disobeyed an order and failed to show up at a time and place he was ordered to be. Absent WithOut Leave is what they call that.

But no point in arguing with a freeper. Information which is contrary to their mindset is simply not accepted and no amount of logic will change that for most of them. Better to spend your time doing something to help the cause like voter registration or writing LTTE which might reach sensible people.

Have a great weekend. Stop beating your head against a freeper's. Just not a good use of your energy.

9. there are dental records
supposedly of W, and those records have the signature of the dentist, who doesn't remember W in particular. So what? Demand to see W's current records so they can be compared to these supposed past records. Rich boy like that--for all we know, he paid someone to pretend to be him so he could miss the dental appointment.

10. Real ammo
http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0806-12.htm

This article puts all the evidence, or lack of evidence, together.

But I still say you should demand W's current dental records. Maybe even a DNA sample. :)
